Love love LOVE Stan’s! The service by Clem and Arthur is always out of this world! These guys know how to whip up amazing cocktails and are always more than happy to sit and chat with you about the history behind the cocktail, the history behind the vintage spirits & just their overall personalities are super warm & bubbly, it’s the kind of experience you wouldn’t even get at Death and Taxes, and that place is unreal.

For such a chic, dimly lit & luxe vinyl bar, this place isn’t pretentious whatsoever. The team are great at making it feel like you’re just at a friends house in their living room chatting away amongst each other & enjoying the music on the gorgeous sound system! My fave drink on the menu would for sure be the Spritz No. 8 or just playing around with the vodkas & gins on the Signature Martini list, they are all so so delish! The snacks are also BEAUTIFUL! Who doesn’t love a lobster bun or chips and spicy mayo??? It’s bar snacks but made classy and I’m here for it! My ONLY suggestion with this place would be to have a slightly more affordable champagne by the glass, I love Louis Roederer but this is the only place on HSW where you can’t get Veuve Clicquot and I love a good Veuve!

I visited Stan’s Lounge with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. Upon reviewing the drinks menu, we noticed a bottle of rosé listed at $30. We questioned the pricing and were assured by staff that it was correct. Based on that confirmation, we placed our order.

After waiting over 15 minutes, we were informed that the menus had a "printing error" and that all prices were incorrect. We were then told the actual price of the rosé was $90 — triple the advertised amount. We referred to Australian ACCC standards, under which businesses are generally required to honour the advertised price or withdraw the item from sale. Despite this, staff refused to honour the original price and insisted we pay the full amount. We were also asked to place a card on hold behind the bar, only after questioning the price. This felt rude, incredibly tacky and targeted.

What followed was a noticeably unpleasant change in the staff’s attitude. The service became curt and unwelcoming, and the entire tone of the evening shifted.

Overall, we were extremely disappointed by the handling of the pricing issue, the unprofessional conduct of the staff, and the lack of accountability. This is not the level of service one expects. We will not be returning, nor will we be recommending Stan’s...

My new favourite! The Bonus Track cocktail is my absolute favourite and blew me away, I had 4 (and then brought my best friend back the week after to try it ☺️). The bar is absolutely stunning in a very unique way and super comfortable but a huge standout was the lovely and warm service from the staff especially from Clem! He was also personable enough to remember me from the last time I came in and my last order which is such a friendly touch for a bar. All the bartenders and waiters were very friendly and accomodating.

Both times I’ve been has been a very refreshing experience! Super nice and at the same time so welcoming and not at all pretentious, a huge and very welcoming standout in Brisbane bars. The music is also so nice, the Dj’s have had the confidence to play easygoing Rap, Disco as well as Frank Sinatra and Aretha peppered in. Highly recommend for dates and friend catch ups, very blown away and will become a regular here 😊Thankyou Clem...
