Do not buy here if you have a nut allergy! Staff 'don't know' if their product contains nuts and when they eventually found out, they still accidentally gave us a nut cookie. Dangerous practices. Overhyped online with dry crumbly cookies! After seeing so many tags and recommendations about this place online, I decided to check it out for myself. Our first visit wasn't great. Customer service was rude, which was disappointing for my young daughters who had been following all the hype online with the friendly/fun vibe put out by the business. On this visit there was 1 flavour of cookie available (almond). We weren't going to waste our trip so we purchased a brownie. These were cooked well, but way too sweet to eat. Our second visit was Saturday 2/3/24. After viewing an instagram post early that morning at 8am advertising 11 cookie flavours for that day, we headed into store. After a 30min wait in line, we entered the store at 10am only to find 6 flavours of cookies. When I asked about the other flavours the staff responded 'we don't know about that, this is all we have for the day'. Again, not wanting to waste our trip we purchased a box of 6 cookies. I asked the staff on hand which cookies contain nuts and they responded 'we have no idea'. Having a daughter with anaphylaxis I really had to push them to check with someone higher up to confirm this or check the ingredients list to see if the choc chip, mint and snickerdoodle cookies contain nuts. After checking out the back they advised they didn't, so we went ahead with our purchase. However, upon returning home we discovered that we were not supplied with the nut-free cookies that we purchased and were accidentally given a nut cookie. Thankfully I tried this cookie and noticed the nuts before my daughter put it in her mouth. I've seen this same issue mentioned a few times on google reviews and given anaphylaxis is a life threatening condition, I feel the business seriously needs to re-assess its practices and/or undertake an audit. Ironically under 'allergens' on their website not all cookie flavours are listed, so you can't safely check yourself, nor at the very least are they labeled with 'contains nuts' in store. A positive about this business is that the marketing is top notch and there is definitely a successful career there if the bakery...

I ordered a box of Brooki's Chunky Cookies (6 flavours of her bestsellers) online and had them delivered to me here in Sydney. They were 100% worth it.

We froze them on arrival so we could have an extra spesh treat as needed. They apparently are good in the freezer for a month, but let's be real honest, these were never going to hang around for a month...and they most certainly did not haha. I think we showed a great deal of restraint by indulging only every second day and we had to admit we'd never be able to work at a Brooki Bakehouse, because we'd eat everything in sight!

We heated them up as Brookie recommends and they were UNREAL straight out of the oven. Thanks to their generous portion sizes, we were able to go halfsies on all of them and yet always felt like we had a very satisfying, decadent treat.

I love that you can order these online and even send them as a gift to someone. You couldn't go wrong surprising a special person in your life with a box of these beauties. The packaging of these cookies is absolutely lovely as the branding is GORGEOUS. (You'll just have to imagine my loveheart eyes).

I have a sweet tooth, but as I've gotten older I like my sweets to have a little bit of salt or bitter flavours, and I'm pleased to say the Hazelnut, Double Choc and New York Cookie with its dark chocolate and walnuts in particular were flavours that struck a perfect balance for me. Not sickly at all, just wonderful! Wow, drooling just thinking about them! (But, woe is me, I am currently all out of Brookis!)

I've also purchased the Brooki cookbook and look forward to seeing if I can replicate these at home. Nevermind if my baking skills aren't up to scratch, though, because I'd have no qualms about ordering these beauties again, particularly to celebrate special milestones like birthdays and mothers days! I'm keen to try a couple of the other flavours in the Nut-free box as well as Brooki's brownies. Highly...

I bought myself a mixed box for my birthday and was super excited because people apparently line up forever for them, so I was expecting a lot. Unfortunately the mixed box wasn't mixed like it was meant to be, and I got 3 of the NYC choc chip walnut biscuits which were unfortunately easily my least favourite out of all of them. The red velvet was the best, but still onlyna 6/10, the biscoff was average and only about a 4/10 and the NYC ones were definitely only a 2/10 for me, easily. What was annoying was that I contacted them to say that I didn't get 6 flavours and I got 3 of the choc chip which was really below average and not nice at all. And instead of wanting to solve the issue for me, they were just passive aggressive and basically said they didn't believe me. I didn't even want my money back or a new box, I just wanted the flavours I was missing in my box. Nope, I was left without any help or apologies and a box that was far, far, below average it was crazy. This is definitely a case of FOMO and not that the biscuits are life changing like social media makes it them out to be. When I then came across other people that had to fight Brook for their money back or replacements and she even lied in some of the charge backs from the banks of customers who got missing orders or terrible products and just wanted their money back, I realised I would definitely never get the replacements of the biscuits that weren't in my box. Also, the biscuits were really dry and didn't taste fresh at all, and I only live an hour and a half from her shop, so I can only imagine how stale they would be going overseas. Then to find out she doesn't actually bake the croissants or the macarons herself like she insinuates, the lacklustre baking makes total sense. There are way, way better bakeries in Brisbane to try out, don't just try her because she's tiktok famous, because that doesn't actually mean she's an...

We decided to check out the hype,.and this is what I know after having tried various cupcakes and cookies from Brooki . 5/5 - Carrot cupcake $7 I enjoyed the carrot cake cupcake , this had all the makings of a traditional carrot cake, and it was nice and moist, as well as a little dense . The icing and the crumbed walnut on top was absolutely spot on . 2/5 - salted Caramel $7 The vanilla sponge honestly was borderline too dry , but right in that sweet spot between the perfect sponge and one you would buy in a packet. The sponge just tasted manufactured much like one from Coles would . I enjoyed the topping , and had the perfect amount of caramel swirl, but for $7 you would expect to find a little more than a basic vanilla sponge as a base. Now for the cookies 🍪 After sampling the NYC , double choc, and the white choc & Macadamia , I have mixed opinions about the texture and the flavour. I am partial to a softer cookie, but these are undercooked, and essentially like eating straight cookie dough beyond the soft crusty edges . The NYC was a good cookie , but definitely not an $8 cookie on a good day . The double Choc cookie had the exact same taste and texture of that of a Coles double Choc cookie , only you get 6 for $3.85 🤔 The white Choc Macadamia had a nicely balanced flavour , but 90% of it was just cookie dough . So in summary , putting all the social media hype aside, I have absolutely had better at a fraction of the cost . I can only assume at this point , that alot of the fanfare is purely on the back of social media influencers, and consumers flocking to these outlets just to get their hands on a Brooki bag to be a part of this movement. YOU MUST TRY DRZLE WESTFIELD MT GRAVATT ( Garden City ) - No1 😍
