The Gunshop Cafe — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Booked for a nice pleasant Father's Day Breakfast. Food was lovely. Service was great......until 1 extremely rude and lack of hygienic waiter (shaved short blonde older woman) came and ruined our breakfast. My 1 yr old had spilt his baby chino.... she came and PUSHED him in the high chair away from our table, WITHOUT asking me before touching my baby. Proceeded to clean the spill (yes I understand, possible fall hazard, but noone will be walking between my baby and the table where the spill is... and she could have kindly addressed me to say, may I clean the floor). Then as she is wiping it up she then PUTS the same cloth ON our table and USES IT TO WIPE down my FULL iced latte glass with the FLOOR CLOTH and our table. MIND YOU WE ARE EATING OUR BREAKFAST! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! IT IS UNHYGIENIC AND RUDE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE! TERRIBLE SERVICE of 1 employee ruined the whole breakfast and had an awful impact on our...

📍The Gunshop Cafe Toowong This cafe has been on my list for a long time. Finally got the time to try it! It is an Asian fused cafe, and they have quite a few options that I really wanted to try🙂‍↕️very hard decision We decided to have sichuan chicken and waffle $25 maple glazed bacon and French toast $25 turmeric latte $5 small dirty chai $6.1 medium

It would be better if the chili oil for the waffle is served as in another dish because the waffle absorbed the majority of the oil and the fried chickens were not really flavoured with the spiciness. However, the portion is really generous and the eggs were cooked perfect❤️ look at the yolks, just so satisfying.

The French toast is really French toast because some of the other places that I have been to just use normal tosted bread, so I really enjoyed it a lot. With the glazed banana and bacon, the presentation is really on the spot.

I’m very relieved to have had 2 very good experiences so far. One a takeaway coffee during full house lunchtime & one a dine in Saturday morning gone . I was relieved as I SO wanted it to be good. I was a regular at the WEST END gun shop cafe since it opened @15 years ago & now that I live Westside I was crossing everything for the Toowong branches service & food to BOTH be good. Big BIG tick - My coffee & friends thick shake came out PRIOR to our food. Our food was perfect - we both requested crispy bacon - it was! & my eggs were perfectly poached with runny yolk and my Hollandaise was on the side - also as requested. I have taken note of my favourite table number - of which I’m not sharing! Haha I’ll be back. Please keep the service & food...
