Zushi California — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Zushi California was one of the best in Brisbane a few years back. I also remember they won an awards or two for excellent food. I used to come here from across town to buy their chicken karaage curry. Portions of the chicken, rice and salad were large enough to feed two people. And they tasted delicious. The owner was still cooking in the kitchen back then. They also had such an inviting and enthusiastic aura that you would feel from more expensive Japanese restuarant. This was back then. I came back here recently only to find that the quality of the food has decreased. The food is still okay, but only up to the level of the average Japanese reataurants in Brisbane. It repels it’s diners with waves of toxic interaction with staff who seemingly are pushing you away from the establishment. The menu points to dishes that had been eliminated a number of years ago.

Food is always of a super high standard and the prices are super reasonable for the amount and quality of the food.
