It is my first time try Lamington cake.moist and soft . lamington is a Queensland-born sensation and Puckles is proud to keep the tradition alive. The stuff is friendly as much people already tells. This Australian culinary icon, which consists of sponge cake dipped in chocolate and liberally sprinkled with fine desiccated coconut, is believed to have been created through an accident at work by a maid-servant to Lord Lamington, the thoroughly-British eighth Governor of Queensland. The maid-servant was working at Government House in Brisbane when she accidentally dropped the Governor's favourite sponge cake into some melted chocolate. Lord Lamington was not a person of wasteful habits and suggested that it be dipped in coconut to cover the chocolate to avoid messy fingers. Lord Lamington devoured this new taste sensation with great delight and the maid-servant's error was proclaimed a magnificent success by all! Despite serving in Queensland for five years, it is the lamington that will be, forever, his legacy.

A true service to the community 24 hour pies x 24 flavors, cakes, bread, donuts and pastries of every description. This family owned business has the friendliest staff, we love them. My favorite sandwich there is Turkey, cranberry, brie cheese and salad sandwich on multi grain it's so delicious 😋

Visited Byron a few times, ALWAYS love the after hours service. Pies here are delicious, my fav is the beef cheese and green pepper. Also love to get a croissant or choccy croissant for breaky. This place does not disappoint. Amazing service from Trent, we love you 👏🏽👏🏽⭐️

Disclaimer: younger gentleman that works there was super nice and this has nothing to do with him! :)

Went to this bakery a few times and food was very average and did not taste fresh, maybe rethink the 24 hours?

During this situation with covid we understand that people are sensitive and want to keep a safe and clean environment. However, my boyfriend cleared his throat in his elbow and an older blonde woman working there with very tacky and tasteless make up on then accused him of shutting her business down. She rushed us out after we had proceeded to explain both of us has been testing negative not that it was any of her business anyways. She then struggled to put our order through the computer and didn’t even tell me the overpriced total. Her attitude was horrible and she simply could’ve asked us to wait outside so it wouldn’t deter customers, we aren’t monsters we understand that people are sensitive! She then told us we should have masks on when not any of the workers in there had any sort of protection or preventative masks on either while serving food 24 hours a day? Remember lady you work in customer service and karma...

Bought 2 sausage rolls today $11 & that's without sauce..lol.. clearly over priced... Found a seat up the road sat down & they are cold, over cooked, dried out & didn't have much of a taste...I feel it was a good chance they were yesterday's...you know when item's have been left in the warmer & they dry out & seem over cooked...well that was them....what a let down... The shop looked nice & clean with cakes & other treats displayed well ,maybe stick to cakes & leave the sausage rolls to someone else that has the touch & serves fresh food daily not just now & again.. Poor effort, won't be back there...
