Disappointed with Our Experience at Grill’d
Over the weekend, we dined in at Grill’d and included a kids meal in our order for my 2 year old. When the food arrived, we were given a full sized Big Cheese burger and chips for her, with no drink. While the other children we were dining with received proper kids sized meals. (kids burger, chips & juice. in a box)
I asked a staff member why we didn’t receive the same, and I was simply told, “You can just cut it up for her.” That response was really disappointing. The burger was far too big for a toddler, and the bun was hard and dry, completely inappropriate and unappealing for a young child. As we expected, she didn’t touch it, and we ended up wasting $15 on a meal she couldn’t eat. I had to buy another meal else where that was appropriate, as i wasn’t about to waste more money on a restaurant who wouldn’t even offer to rectify the mistake.
On top of that, the music in the restaurant was uncomfortably loud, making it difficult for us to talk and enjoy our meal together. Overall, not a great experience and not what I expected from a venue that claims to be...
Read moreDined at Grill'd Carousel recently. Hands down the worst dining experience we have endured in a very, very long time. For a Restaurant specializing in burgers, the burgers were rubbish. We ordered up big, the "Wagyu Wunda". What we were served was no different from what we would have been served at any fast food burger outlet, but without trimmings and without sides. Looking for a special burger experience we ordered the "crispy bacon" at $2.90. That bacon turned out to be a paper thin wafer that you could barely see let alone taste. No sides meant we paid an extra $4.95 for a small bucket of chips. So far we are up to $25 for a basic burger that hasn't even been waved over the salad tubs. We then paid an "eye watering" $35 for a bottle of wine that I can buy retail for sub $10. Don't ask for a wine bucket because they don't have any, and there would be no point because they don't keep any ice. We actually had to ask for glasses to drink our tepid wine. Do yourself a favour and take the family to one of the popular Fast Food outlets. Better food, better service, better atmosphere and for a fraction...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting experience at Grill’d yesterday. I ordered a chicken burger and after already eating half of it I took the chicken out of the burger because it had a weird taste and looked inside to find the chicken was literally pink all the way through. I took it back and the guy at the counter literally touched my food with his hands (no gloves), took it to the cook and then came back and told me “it’s just the veins.” He also told me he couldn’t refund or exchange it and actually said “you won’t get sick I promise” before handing it back and telling me to go eat it.
So not only was I served raw chicken but the staff basically laughed it off, never apologised and didn’t offer me anything at all. They made me feel like I was the problem for even bringing it up. I left feeling disgusted and not even an hour later I was at home feeling sick.
Serving undercooked chicken and brushing it off like that is dangerous and just plain careless. I’ll never be back.
Also music is way too loud. It’s not...
