Things have gone downhill fast at the Asian Noodle House. Boxes stacked up in the restaurant. No diners, only tables that haven't been cleaned and delivery drivers standing around impatiently. There's a new sign directing you to order and pay at the counter. We ask for a bottle of water and glasses when we order, we're told they'll bring it to the table. They don't. I go back to ask again and get, "yes, I said I'd get it..."
We pay $9 for a salt and pepper eggplant entree. There are precisely four pieces of lukewarm and rubbery eggplant. The thick batter is stale. We suspect it's been made before and reheated. Our mains are laksa. It shows up in bowls half the size of what you would have gotten a year or so ago. Mine is the wrong meat. Both are cold and watery. Call the restaurant to complain, and the manager on the other end is really frustrated. 'We had no way to get in touch with you,' she explains. They were out of the ingredients for the second meal, and let UberEats know, but UE opted to just deliver what they had. The driver didn't even give us a heads up--he just gave us the sealed bag and left.
I told the restaurant manager that we'd left a 1 star review on our order. She said she understood and offered to deliver an alternate meal free of charge. I told her that we'd already requested a refund through the app and she said that's okay, it's late and she just wanted to make sure we got our meal. They didn't have any of their own drivers, but she'd drop it off on her way home.
