This is what breakfast should be. Great staff that are always friendly and attentive which sets a great tone for the visit. Good coffee, with or without the accompanying biscuit. Fantastic food. If you aren't feeling like a full size breakfast but still want to try one of the menu items, most come in either half or full size. This is fantastic and should be in more cafes and restaurants! The owner or manager seems to genuinely care about your experience to ensure that your visit is positive each time.

Slightly noisy during peak periods but this can be expected from a busy cafe. You are still able to maintain a conversation easily. Request a seat outside when you book if the noise is an issue for you. Tables can sometimes be slightly too small to fit everything comfortably. If you have 4 people sitting around a table each with a drink and a meal (plus water), you may have to do a bit of arranging in order to fit everything. This depends on the table you get and how many people you dine with. Generally it's not an issue.

Overall, absolutely my first choice for breakfast/brunch...

I had recently came back here for the first time in 2 years and it unfortunately did not impress as much as it used to. My family and I ordered an arrangement of drinks ranging from milkshakes, Coffees and juices. All of which were fantastic and the Coffees have clearly remained consistent throughout the years. However ordering the 'potato stack' was a lot less impressive. The potato stack was one of Chatterbox's wow factor dishes as a massive tower of egg, bacon, potato and ricotta would always make you smile upon coming to the table. Nowadays it is awkwardly sat on top of each other with some garnish on the side. The potato itself was quite nice, but lacked the crunchy texture it once had. Just before finishing the meal, one of the staff asked one of my family members to stand up and replace the chair with a yellow one because "the colours didn't match". Slightly annoying when you are just trying to finish your breakfast. Overall, nice experience but some things could be done to improve service and the presentation...

The Chatterbox Espresso Bar never fails to impress with excellent coffee and food. This morning I enjoyed a rich long black with the pumpkin omelette which was filled with delicious onion jam. My only complaint is the poor knife selection. Given the toast is always 'hard', a serrated steak knife would be best, especially with sourdough breads that have been toasted. Crusts are always difficult to cut with the standard knives. I suggest if you want a table and you want to eat between 9 and 9.30, call ahead and reserve a table. It can get busy quickly. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. I've never had to wait too long for my meal to arrive.

After being a regular customer to Chatterbox over the last few years I have to say today was my last visit. Appears to be new owners (could be wrong?), table service removed so now you queue up with everyone in one place and a significant drop in food quality. Smashed acocado (usually a avocado/feta mix) now just sliced avocado (maybe rename it as sliced avocado?). All of our tables avocados were brown and partially rotten. Poached eggs not runny at all. For the first time today our entire table didn't finish our meals. This review is lucky I can't post photos. Take care Chatterbox, time to find a new place i think which is a real shame
