King O's as the locals know is a popular Irish themed pub. They have a decent menu and huge selection of beverages. It's very centrally located and is immediately adjacent the city bus interchange which makes it a great place to eat and drink. There is always a crowd, but this is especially the case on weekends when a live band plays pub rock on a Saturday night. There's heaps of seating inside and out which offers patrons a variety of different spaces to gather and enjoy group functions, live sports on TV, a meal, a drink, a dance, a quiet corner to converse or whatever they do when they go to the pub. There is usually plenty of staff to service the bar and meals are served in a reasonable timeframe. However, expect a longer wait time between 10pm and 2am on Friday and Saturday during the warmer months and peak season. There's plenty of history on the walls and ceiling if you find yourself looking for something to do while you're waiting for the next round of drinks and/or dinner. See if you can find the spelling mistake on one of the walls too if you're bored...haha! Also, later in the evening some of the chairs and tables are moved off the dance floor to make way for traditional mating rituals.. before one might like to go and have a chunder, grab a kebab and uber off...

Let's start. I LOVE a good Beef and Guinness pie. I have eaten many from many different Irish pubs. When ever I travel, I try to find an Isish Pub that has it. I decided to try the B&G pie here. Wow! What a disappointment. This was not a B&G pie. It was more like a stew that was bland and tastes like flour. It was also server with chips. Never in my life of eating B&G pies, have they been served with chips. It's always mash potato. Needles to say, I was utterly disappointed. The top was just a square of puff pastry, slapped on top of a bowl. It didn't even cover the bowl. Two bits of beef and, loads of gravy and quite a few carrots.

Sorry King O'Malley's, this is NOT B&G pie. I make better at home and I am not even Irish. Now for the rest of the review Staff are great. Very friendly and serve you promptly. My table was cleared promptly as was my empty glass. It is your typical, Irish style pub, which I love. Besides the pie, the rest of my experience was great. My low rating is purely due to the pie....

The star of the show at O'Malley's is undoubtedly their Guinness stout on tap. Poured to perfection, it was rich, creamy, and smooth, exactly how a good Guinness should be. The pint had the perfect balance of roasted malt flavors and a slightly bitter finish, making it an absolute pleasure to drink. For any stout enthusiast, this is as good as it gets outside of Dublin. Complementing the excellent beer is their delectable Guinness pie. This hearty dish was a perfect blend of tender beef, savory gravy, and a hint of Guinness, all encased in a golden, flaky crust. Each bite was a comforting taste of Ireland, with the rich flavors melding together beautifully. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal that pairs perfectly with a pint of Guinness. In summary, O'Malley's Irish Pub is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic Irish experience. The exceptional Guinness stout on tap and the mouthwatering Guinness pie...

What a hangout! Great vibe! Lively, cosy and uplifting atmosphere has been created. Delightful cocktails and cold beer. We didn't sample the food but it looked hearty n delish! Great central location within cbd hub. The fiddlers added another element to the overall vibe. Cheers!

Have absolutely Nothing positive to say about this place. From the time we walked in I thought the ambience was great but, that's were it ended. The service was non existant couldn't get the drink order right for starters. The 3 of us all ordered the Steak ... medium to well done. We got them in record time only to cut into a raw slab, one was even full of gristle! Half the chips were covered in blood oozing from the steaks even the pizza we ordered wasnt cooked properly. Asked for no pineapple on the pizza and guess what? We got Pineapple. We all left hungry and p*ssed off! Pointless arguing as the customer service was appalling so, I'll let my review do the talking!! NOTE TO THE CHEF: Learn how to cook a Steak!!!
