Earlybird Cafe — Restaurant in Exmouth

Terrible customer service and poor hygiene! I ordered an iced long black, and waited approx 10 minutes for the barrista to finish her conversation with a friend before starting my order. I watched the barrista handle money, then without sanitising or washing her hands crush ice with her bare hand into my cup. I asked for a fresh cup and ice that was handled with a scoop, as it's not sanitary (especially during a covid outbreak!) and was met with rudeness from all the staff. Then then gave me an iced coffee with milk. I informed her that was not what I ordered, and again she was extremely rude, no apology and offered it to another customer. I asked for a full refund and left the Cafe. A lady was walking in and asked me what's it like in there as I walked out to which I honestly replied. The chef/had a persistent and very off putting flemmy cough that was consistent through the preparation of our drinks and food. So much so, that we decided to leave having paid in full (We didn't ask for a refund). The breakfast brioche burger (bacon, egg, relish etc)I ordered I later found to be pre prepared in a glass cabinet and then placed in the microwave. I struggle with this level of preparation for a burger running at $17.50 alone. General prices were high. Signage outside stated aircon was on and it was not. I was here a few days ago for the pasta night and I’m a customer who comes everytime back for the coffee. The coffee ist great and the beans have an amazing taste. I can taste that this is with a high quality. I ate the pasta Alfredo and the pasta with basil and it was delicious. (On request to get the alfredo a little hot, the wish was also easily fulfilled). The Gnocchis are handmade and the basil pesto is fresh and not from the supermarket. I can recommend this place. And all the members here a so friendly. I can feel that the owner leads the company...
