Aunty Lucy's! What a vibe ✨️ This cute lil cakery tucked down tumtum lane in freo feels like a warm hug from your (trendy) grandma everytime you visit. The owner Lucy is so beautifully inviting and super talented. Her cakes never disapoint. I'm a regular for the vegan options, I love the vegan cookie and am first in line when vegan pie is available. I love that the fruit changes seasonally for the pies, you know you're getting good quality stuff 👌 I also had the pleasure of having high tea for my baby shower at Aunty Lucy's and it was such a lovely afternoon and great value for money. We ended up taking leftovers home we were so full from all the goodies. I think the most impressive element of this gem is the environment Lucy has cultivated. The cakes look really delicious and there's a range to choose from, including dairy free, gluten free and vegan. I tried the blueberry vegan cake, I was disappointed in the taste but I think that's because I generally find vegan cakes an odd flavour. I can see that I would like the other cakes on offer, and would try another if I was in the mood for cake. The other down side is that they don't have almond milk for my coffee/latte. They have oat milk and soy milk as dairy free alternatives, but if you are allergic to dairy, soy or gluten, it would be hard to get your usual coffee here. A truly divine experience! Firstly the cakes and sweet treats were SO delicious....with brilliant vegan options. Often vegan treats can be too sweet but at Aunty Lucy's they are delectable, a perfect balance of flavour and sweetness. The coffee was by far one of the best we have had in Perth. The staff were an absolute delight, haven't felt that welcomed and looked after in a cafe for a long time. The space is gorgeous, we really could have spent the whole afternoon there!
