My daughter ordered a kid beef burger today, which was supposed to ONLY have cheese, beef patty, and tomato sauce. However, there was a pickle stuck on the bottom of the bread (soaked with a vinegar taste) and some chopped raw onions.
My daughter threw the piece of pickle into the bin but couldn’t continue eating the burger because of the pickle vinegar taste on the bread. I went to tell the staff (later on, I learned he is the manager). It should have been a very simple case: apologize and make a new one. Unfortunately, the 'manager' did not say sorry and instead tried to make us show him the evidence, even though he knew the kid had thrown it in the bin already. He could easily smell the pickle on the burger. I told him it seemed like the staff hadn't cleaned the chopping board after using it. He argued with me, saying they change it every time after making burgers. I watched them for a while, and it was obvious they didn’t; they just used their hands to wipe the operation desk.
As for evidence, I handed over the leftover raw onion to him. He told me it was just a little onion. Excuse me, how big is your kid's size beef burger? And there shouldn't have any onion at all according to your menus!
Is it that hard for you to accept mistakes and apologize to your customer? Is this what you were trained to do by your head office—letting customers show evidence even though you can see and smell it? Do you want kids to take things out of the bin to show you? How far will you go by telling...
Read moreThis is the 3rd time I have ordered Betty's Burgers through ubereats and had my drinks smash onto the floor due to poor packaging.
The large size drinks are stored in flimsy paper cups, which is then stored in a flimsy paper bag which is thinner than a paper towel. By the time the driver delivers the order, the bottom of the paper bag is completely saturated and holds together for barely seconds before smashing onto the floor and leaving a huge pile of mess to clean up.
Never had this problem with any of the other fast food joints, Maccas, HJs, KFC all deliver large drinks in paper bags and never have I had the issue of drinks falling through the bottom of the bag.
I get it if it's a once off thing but this has happened over 3 times now out of the 12 times I've ordered Betty's and surely I'm not the only one who has been through this.
Hope Betty's improves the quality of their drink cups and their packaging for delivery because the convenience of ordering takeaway and not having dishes to clean disappears very quickly like the drinks that smash and spill all over...
Read moreLate-night shopping can be a painful especially when everyone gets hangry. This was my first time dining in at Betty's Burgers with my indecisive family - and honestly it was AMAZING. Not only was the food reasonably priced and sensational, but the customer service was through the roof. We had the nicest employee named Keely helping us with what to order, she was helpful, informative and knew the menu so well. I often find customer service people to be condescending in a way with the 'not so discreet eye rolls' and you feel so dumb for asking genuine questions about ordering, but Keely went above and beyond to explain options and give recommendations! But what really did it, was once we got our food she came and checked on my family and made sure everything was good enough and we were happy. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK! thank you to Keely for your impeccable service, I must say it was refreshing to be around someone WHO ACTUALLY CARED, it made it that much more enjoyable, my family and I were super stoked with everything - so thank you...
