After a year of wondering, with high hopes having seen the menu, we thought we'd give this a try. Met at entry by a manager who asked for Vax certificates (all good), we asked a brief question and after 30 secs answering....he then asked for Vax certificates. When I said we'd literally all just shown, he said...."you must show me, it's policy". Funny in a Fawlty Towers way but a surprise that they’re so strict given half the staff didn't have masks on. A young guy at the restaurant counter took us through the menu and was genuinely welcoming and good at his job. He said we should try the specials, $10 pizza or pasta as he couldn't understand how they made money off such great meals at that price. Since we were hoping to bring a group later in the week we figured we'd try a few things. Food arrived in less than 5 minutes...good news if you're in a rush but a sign of the small amount of care and large amount of microwaving involved. The profitability on specials was explained quickly....they were literally tasteless. Incredibly cheap ingredients quickly chucked together. The oysters were sadly another story, plenty of taste, just so wrong! Kilpatrick came with thick, bitter syrup covering oysters that were shrivelled, hard and literally steaming from the amount of heat. Truly disgusting and left unfinished. The Chicken Wings were at best, OK and that's it. Prices are not high but honestly even fast food options do better, cheaper. Playing Bowls looked amazing and I guess thats the hook. Come for some fun out there, have a snack (choose carefully) and a drink or two and I'm sure you'll have a ball. Cannot recommend for dinner...

Went down to the bowls club for a nice quiet afternoon of bowls with a few mates for my bday. Unfortunately a fella named Allan seemly has a case of OCD like I’ve never met before. Every 30-60 minutes he was out critiquing how we were bowling, the end we were bowling from, the way in which we would have a conversation in between rounds, etc. all of it was not to his liking. We had a 3 year old with us that really wanted to participate, rather than retrieving him a ‘soft’ ball (which another lovely staff member gentleman did later in the day) - Allan simply expressed “the child is not allowed on the green!!” He would also express “do me a favor gentlemen and if you’re going to take a break between rounds, take the Matt off the grass because it can heat up and it’s not good for the grass..” just one example of many that had Allen not so affectionately labeled the ‘bowl police.’ what should have been a wonderful afternoon with family and friends turned in to a chore trying to follow Allen’s rules as if we were children. 1 star and good luck to those on Allen’s watch in future.

Edit: 3 stars because it’s not fair for 1 bloke to tarnish an...

Broadbeach Bowls club is a real homely place to chill out, relax and enjoy a quiet meal, a cool drink and great conversation. The bowls club was selected for lawn bowls finals at the recent Commonwealth Games and underwent a total transformation. The decor is relaxed casual Beach theme and incorporates a good casual bar, sports bar and a pokie room for a bit of play. The food is good and not expensive. Every day are specials :- pizza, pasta for $10 and fish with salad and fried for $17.50. but the menu offers much more and it's all tasty and we'll presented. If you don't want to be in a packed restaurant or bar this is just the place where locals come to unwind and relax yet it is all just 300 metres from the beach and 800 metres from shopping central. A true local and you can play a game of barefoot bowls most days for just $10 For 2 hours (including bowls...

GREAT FOR A NIGHT OUT - BEER, FOOD AND BAREFOOT BOWLS Great music, a pool table and Wheelchair accessible with toilets, parking and ramps. Barefoot bowls packages available and raffle night each Friday. I recommend you book a table over the Christmas period and on a Friday night. $10 pizzas and pasta on Wednesday night and T-bone Tuesday are some of the specials. The bar staff are really accommodating if you need anything. On street and limited off street parking. There is a time limit during the week for the parking, but none on weekends.

We regularly frequent this lovely venue. Huge choice of meals to suit all tastes. I highly recommend the Thai Beef salad. The staff are professional proficient and friendly. The meals are averagely priced for the Gold Coast but have daily specials. We regularly partake in the Wednesday night $10 pizza and pasta night. Desserts can be a hit and miss, not always fresh. This is a very popular spot for family and business functions with the bare foot bowls.
