Subject: Disappointing Dining Experience – Lack of Authentic Flavors and Inefficient Service
Dear Enzos Cucina Surfers Paradise Restaurant Manager's,
I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience at your restaurant. While I appreciate the ambiance and overall atmosphere, I must bring to your attention some concerns regarding the authenticity of the food and the efficiency of the service, particularly during what seemed to be a busy period.
Regrettably, the dishes I sampled lacked the genuine flavors I anticipated from an Italian restaurant of your reputation. It is my understanding that the kitchen may face challenges during peak hours, yet I believe this should not compromise the quality of the dining experience. As a patron seeking authentic Italian cuisine, I had hoped for a more satisfying culinary adventure.
Additionally, I observed that the service staff's efficiency appeared to be somewhat lacking. While I understand the demands of a bustling restaurant, it is crucial that the team maintains a level of attentiveness and professionalism. Prompt service and attention to detail are key factors that significantly contribute to a positive customer experience.
I suggest considering measures to enhance staffing levels during busy periods to ensure a smoother workflow and improved customer service. Furthermore, a renewed focus on maintaining the high standards of your culinary offerings would undoubtedly contribute to the overall satisfaction of your patrons.
I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing improvements to uphold the reputation of your establishment. I believe that addressing these concerns will not only enhance my personal dining experiences but also contribute to the satisfaction of many others who seek an authentic taste of Italy at your restaurant.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing about the positive changes and having the opportunity to enjoy an improved dining experience at your establishment in the...
Read more09/10/2023 - As a POC living on the Gold Coast since 1993, well before this establishment was built and probably before the young staff were even born, I’ve always known Surfers Paradise to be welcoming and I’ve never had to deal with racism in my own backyard.
However, tonight I decided to try something new. Instead of going to Vapiano’s - where I know the service would be better and the prices more economic, I tried Enzos Cucina.
The tap water I received was not clear. I was sat down before it got busy, with only 1 other person at the restaurant. I was given a menu to peruse and it took 10 minutes before someone asked what I would like to order. I was by myself as well. Once I had ordered, I received my entree, which was great, but then after I finished the staff had taken everything off my table, leaving me with no cutlery to eat my main. I waited for 40 minutes as everyone else was seated and received their food well before me. I enquired about my main and instead a girl gave me another menu. I asked another person about when my main meal was going to be served, and the girl said it won’t be any longer. I decided I wasn’t going to wait anymore, as it had been almost an hour since I sat down. Every other person was served and waited upon, constantly asked about their meal and if they needed anything else. No one spoke to me, I was ignored, and I felt like I was treated differently.
When I got up to pay and leave, they brought my food out onto the table. I wasn’t going to enjoy eating my meal surrounded by racists, so I asked for it to be take away. I’m glad they made me pack it away myself instead of taking it back to the kitchen, because of what they might do to the food.
So I went back to my table and sat down, packing it away myself and left. If you are a POC, definitely consider eating elsewhere, as you will receive minimal service compared to the whiter folk who...
Read moreLast minute booking on a Saturday night. I dont have high expectations of places within surfers, as I find the high turnover they tend NOT to care or be good value or quality. This place WAS caring and good value/quality
Had a few entrees and kids meals first. Kids were fine with the standard nuggets. Kids pepperoni pizza was great, loaded and great base/crust. One child ate the entree prawns for his meal and loved them Oyster kilpatrick great, not just watery bbq sauce like most. Fritto misto great. Soft shell crab was probably the let down of the entrees, bit of a watery fishy mess once bitten into.
Mains…Seafood grill plates were great freshness and crispy fries. The others liked the steak, beef cheeks and GF marinara.
2 things which could have probably improved the visit would be confusion ordering from one of the waitresses due to language barrier or she didn’t know the menu. Also asking for drinks off a waiter only to be forgotten and later asked again by another waitress and we had to say we are already waiting. This is only minor but I share my experience.
Not related to food or service is The worst taste of the night is probably the street performer/magician walking through your restaurant and preying for attention off kids to convince parents to pay him to do tricks while just receiving our meals. Even after being told to go away he still tried to poach the children’s attention. To the management, as a business move I would get rid of this guy permanently as sitting down for a $500 meal and having a guy interrupt your family to try and upsell a magic trick to kids and ignore the adults hints to leave is pretty low but I will not rate your restaurant on this guy.
Thanks for the great...
