Goha Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Excellent service and the food is great. An authentic Korean BBQ experience. Don’t listen to the silly reviewers that think a Korean bbq place in the back of Southport/Ashmore should have some type of extravagant atmosphere as if they were at Nicholas Cage’s Californian $200 a head Korean restaurant. They have no idea what they’re on about and they wouldn’t even have the money to go to places like that. $42 a head for all you can eat seafood and meat buffet is extremely cheap especially in these high interest and heavy inflation times. Goha are brilliant and the owners charged $38 per head back in 2017 when petrol was $1.20 per L and interest rates were low and inflation was non existent. The friendly family owned business has kept their prices low and accessible for all Australians to enjoy and laughable reviews such as Temika Logan the bogan should be ridiculed and scorned upon. I have been here three times and each time has been above standard and memorable and I have eaten at the most expensive Michelin Star eateries all over the world from Switzerland to Seoul. The owners were so lovely. We hadn’t been before, the lady showed us all the buffet foods and described them all. She sat us down, and came to check in with us and see if we were okay 5 times whilst we were there. Such kind and thoughtful couple who are also the owners. The buffet range was impressive for a small business and was restocked as often as needed. They had Tteok-bokki, seaweed soup, kimchi, rice, pork belly, rib, chicken, squid, mussels and a bunch of side dishes and more meats. It was so yummy, my partner and I walked away satisfied. I’ve never left a good review before, but the couple, food and overall experience definitely deserve the effort to making one for others to see. We are very happy and highly recommend for food service and customer service. They also had K-pop playing on a TV for good atmosphere. And changed our hot plate when needed. Love definitely evident...

I arrived at this restaurant around 6pm, at that time there was only one table of 6-7 and there was plenty of empty tables in the restaurant.

The waiter guy see me and ask "how can i help you?". I ask for a table of one. he said "we DON'T SERVE A TABLE OF ONE, here is a bbq buffet so we serve at least 2 people per table". I was quite shock about this, this doesn't make any sense because I have been to a lot of korean bbq and never never be refused me because I go alone.

So i asked him " can i order to take away?". Again he refused to serve me by saying " WE DON'T HAVE ANY FOOD FOR TAKE AWAY, we only do bbq buffet". Again, THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

I have no idea what kind of business they are doing. Refuse to serve customer, no take away food. Never recommend this restaurant and i would never come here to eat. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. I HOPE YOU DO WELL AND...
