This little end of town is really showing promise to becoming a great lil Chinatown... It is definitely worth the visit if; your a fan of "specialty van" foods (I most certainly wouldn't call this Asian) ... There is a good selection to make it family friendly for all types of people.

Ofcourse there are resteraunts spread throughout if your tastes are for a sit down serious meal...

I feel its lacking in all the little things... (this is continuously improving) for example: market stalls selling items whether it be toys for kids/ clothes / nic'nac's etc... I feel it lacks in decoration and theme which would bring far more character to the event... there is a whole street wasted towards the aus fair end most times this events on and inside the metro aus fair part ... if little market stalls etc came to the event it would spread out the attraction and surely could only help boost those wonderful little shops inside that stay open but most people never bother to venture down as it seems away from...

Loads of restaurants, parking 3 hours free, Asian grocery. Lots of massage places to choose. Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, western , Mexican, bars, bubble tea, desert bar, Philippino, Vietnamese ect .you will find it all there. Love this place will always find something to eat even late at night. Australia fair shopping centre attached to it. Tram stop right outside the main St. Very convenient for all clientele. One a month road gets block off and all business set up food stalls, great vibe however fighting for a seat and overpriced...

Real disappointment to be honest and needs a lot of improvement to get it up to scratch compared to other...

Very cool little section of Southport, a wide variety of businesses and eateries. They held a really cool event during the Commonwealth Games including large screens playing the action and live bands. A great tourist destination for shopping and great food from around Asia.

We went to china Town exactly on the lunar new year.there was a lion dance, $5 deal meal tea, sushi, mochi. China town Gold Coast is a bit smaller than what I expected, but the variety of Chinese restaurants haven't tried them yet, but they look so good.
