The Yiros Shop - Southport — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I spent over $40 on a takeaway yiros, a side of halloumi, and a Gatorade Fri 11 July around midday-1pm. The lamb in my yiros was stone cold (so was my friends in her yiros bowl from a separate order). I asked for no chips, and they filled the empty space with with what seemed like 5kg of grated cheese instead??? There was minimal meat on my yiros (and only on the bottom half of my wrap), and such a small amount of onion and tomato I couldn’t even taste it… I may as well have been eating a sweet chilli grated cheese wrap, as i would get mouthfuls of nothing but cheese that was absolutely drowned in sweet chili sauce for about 80% of the wrap. If that was what they considered a large, I’d hate to see their regular - I am skeptical they even gave me the right size.

While waiting, they also put someone else’s order in front of me and walked away, I had to go back to the counter to tell them it wasn’t mine. I was in a rush and after already waiting so long for them to prepare my order, I did not have time to go back and complain. Arrived at the store just as an emergency alarm started going off so the complex needed to be evacuated. Waited outside the shop for over half an hour for the alarm to stop as we were aware that was not in the control of the shop. Once they did reopen though, they prioritized UBER and DOOR DASH orders so left us waiting outside for ANOTHER half an hour (so over an hours wait total) When we asked if we could at least come in and order food, we were told that they had too many orders (online no doubt as we were the only non delivery driver waiting) and we would have to continue to wait!! Needless to say, we DID NOT wait any longer and went elsewhere. Pathetic that orders placed by people sitting on their couch was prioritized over us who were actually...

I was really disappointed with the service here. I ordered a chicken plate without sauce, but when it was served, it came with sauce all over it. When I explained that I had asked for no sauce, the girl behind the counter (I think she was Colombian) argued with me in a very rude way. She told me that I should “know it comes with sauce everywhere you go” instead of just fixing the order. She then took the plate away while shaking her head, which made the whole experience feel unpleasant and disrespectful.

Food aside, this kind of attitude towards customers is unacceptable. I won’t be coming back.
