The manager kindly contacted me and invited us to go back to the cafe for another try. The experience was absolutely amazing, the waitresses were so friendly, food as good as usual. I’ll now recommend this cafe to my friends! Big thanks to the manager Emma, making the customers feel valued 😊 Awesome work!

Original review:

Terrible customer service. We went on Friday 28/05 around 12pm, the lady food runner was absolutely rude and lack of patience. She wore glasses and had half blonde and dark hair. Took her a long time to come and serve us, ok fair enough maybe she was busy. When she finally came, she took the order with absolutely no smiles then rushed off. Later came back & literally threw the cutleries onto the table and left. We really weren’t sure why we were treated that way as we were smiling to her and saying thank you the whole time. Quite disappointing.

It also didn’t seem busy at the restaurant, but we waited nearly 30 minutes for our order. We had to change our order to take away instead. When I stood up and reach out to the lady, she told me ‘not now, I’m with other customers’ and pointed at the counter.

I do have to mention tho, the lady at the counter was absolutely amazing & apologised for the delay.

Finally, I’m still giving 3 stars because the food was amazing, we ordered salt &...

We've been to Kirramisu at least 20 times over the years and always been impressed by the food and the friendly service from happy staff. Not so yesterday. Drove 1.2 hours from Brisbane for lunch. Greeted by a dour waitress who just said, "Sit anywhere." Another waitress apologised for the bad attitude citing that first waitress was having a "bad day". My chai latte was way too sweet, and quite horrible. My wife's coffee was good. So was the Mexican Chicken wrap. My Crispy Chicken Burger was a disaster. The buns are too small, so all the filling just slips out onto your plate making a sloppy mess. The chicken was generous but so dry and overcooked it was like leather and inedible. The mini buns were saturated with juice of some kind and sloppy too. I ate exactly two bites of the chicken fillet and nothing else. A colossal waste of my money. I wonder if ownership has changed because everything seems to have slipped. That will be our last time going to Kirramisu. There are many better...

I don’t see myself back here ... not that it’s bad ... actually it’s perfectly fine ... it’s just quite noisy and not especially amazing. If you happen to be in the area and need somewhere to rest a while, then go for it, otherwise I would suggest looking around for a cafe off the main road. There are some nice little places around if you have a car. The major issue I had here was the traffic noise. It’s not a busy street, but the cafe must have a lot of hard surfaces. I couldn’t stay. It would drive me crazy to try and have a conversation there. Parking is over the road on the beach side. I didn’t have an issue with that, but if you have difficulty crossing streets, it might be a consideration. One major positive is that it’s easy access from the Gold...

When you are not a local, it can be hit and miss choosing a place to eat. We needn't have worried in this case! We had a wonderful late breakfast here, catching up with a friend. My partner had the eggs benedict with added bacon and hash brown and I had the smashed avocado with poached eggs added; little one had scrambled eggs. We had a flat white and a latte (x2), along with a babycino (x2) for the little one. Both the coffee and food were delicious, the staff very attentive (but not annoying) and the vibe was just relaxed beachside. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Pur breakfast at Kirramisu was delicious. We went specifically for their eggs benedict, and it was as good as it looked in their google fotos. I had the bacon version and my wife had the smoked salmon with avo benedict. My son had the pancakes wit banana, maple syrup and ice-cream. We had two bloody Mary's with our breakfast. The restaurant was pretty packed, but the food came out fairly quick. The service were friendly and fast and the restaurant was clean and well presented. Great location on the beach front. Thank you for a great breakfast, highly recommend you give them a try.

Won't come back by choice. Vibe: Between planes, traffic noise, and the kitchen exhaust fan, I couldn't hear others talk without leaning in and speaking loudly. Service: 45 mins from seating to eating. While many many waiters were around we could not flag one down from walking slowly and clearing tables. Food: Cheese burger (pictured) - well cooked Patty and warm, bun soggy & relish dull. 2/5 Fritter wrap - cold, unseasoned, fell apart, & flavorless. 1/5 Drinks: Latte Mug, 4/5. OJ fresh squeezed with a large piece of pineapple, 5/5.
