Though I have received 2/3 refunds I would still like to take the time to leave a review as I’m still dealing with the effects 2 months later and would like my experience to be heard. On the 28/07 I took my partner and his sister to skydive as I had been here once before. Unfortunately I had an experience that ended very badly. I was taken advantage of from my instructor and emailed about this matter which included ways I was inappropriately interacted with such as being touched too much to the point of uncomfortability, I had comments being made that were innapropriate, I was being complimented on my features; you have a cute little nose whilst it being touched multiple times, I was made to sit on his lap which has been cleared up by saying this is procedure but yet still so uncomfortable hand in hand with these other things, He was trying to intertwine his fingers with mine multiple times while being told to cross my arms which is unnecessary during that explanation especially as I had immediately done it correctly and have been before. It took 2 weeks for my complaint to be responded to by the owner which in itself was very poorly handled. The owner contacted me for a phone call which resulted in him trying to defend my instructor such as saying he’s ex military, he’s been skydiving for years, he really respects him etc before even giving me the opportunity to speak about my experience. Aswell as trying to validate ‘selected’ actions with safety protocols yet ignoring the other few complaints. The whole phone call gave off the intention of just defending the instructor especially as it started off as “I can give you a refund BUT……..” and disgracefully ending with “If you find an experience better than jumping out of the air, you let me know” which is very very poorly handled and invalidating. He didn’t appropriately respond to anything I had said on my behalf and better yet ADMITTED that my instructor sends his apology as he himself admitted to “stepping over the line a little”. I received a refund after asking for all 3 as I paid for them and had this experience taken away from me which resulted in getting 2/3 back. The owner ignored multiple messages regarding my refunds and I then received one single message saying “money will go into account today” and that’s it. Read moreI had the best experience skydiving for my 40th birthday!! Instructor James was very professional and made the whole experience so fun! The 15 minute scenic flight over Coolangatta was a fantastic experience and we were lucky to have a beautiful clear day. I am however a little disappointed with the booking process as I booked in November (2 months ahead) for the ultimate package (go pro photos/videos plus external camera). I phoned and booked it all in to ensure I got the external camera person so they could book out the extra seat on the plane. I got a call a few days before my jump to say they were fully booked due to the busy new year period and was advised they can't do the external camera as there was no room on the plane. Considering I booked 2 months in advance, I was rather disappointed. I called back and asked if there was any other time slot on the day where I could get the second camera person and was advised they could move me 3.30pm time slot (the girl on the phone verified this with the manager). On the day of my jump, the receptionist said there was no notes made on the booking system of my request for the external camera and that the plane was full. I explained my time slot was moved because I was advised I could get the ultimate package on the 3.30pm timeslot. But now the plane was full so I couldn't get my external camera (again that I booked 2 months in advance for!) I was offered a timeslot the next day however I was a) already there and b) we were leaving the next day (also, after all this I knew there would be no guarantee if I did turn up the next day I would get the ultimate package) I understand early January is a busy period, however if the external camera can't be guaranteed this should be made clear to the customer upfront at the time of booking. I can only imagine it was overbooked because they would get more money from an extra person jumping as opposed to the external camera fee. Also, the jump was delayed an hour due to delays at the airport - understandable that is out of their control, however a call to advise customers would be courteous.

This was my first ever skydive experience & my husband‘s 2nd, and I have to say from start to finish, what a well organised and oiled crew Gold Coast skydive is! From booking online, to the arrival and safety briefing process, everything ran like absolute clockwork. Safety was always first and foremost, however the whole team kept things upbeat fun & super exciting. We opted for the video & photo package, which I felt was good value for money to capture the whole experience (all of which came through within a couple of hours of doing the jump very professionally edited & ready to post to any social platforms). Our instructors were awesome & always made us feel safe, comfortable & reassured at all times. The jump itself, without a doubt one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life & from my husband’s perspective, he felt this jump was X100 better than the previous one he”d done (mainly down to location & the awesome engagement, interaction & fun he had with his instructor, Germain). Also big shout out to my instructor, Phil, I felt entirely safe with him the whole time & we had great banter too.
