A Flavorful Journey at Rice House, Southport

My boyfriend Kiel and I embarked on a delightful culinary adventure that left our taste buds tingling with satisfaction. The cozy restaurant, known for its authentic flavors, presented us with a tantalizing array of dishes. Among them were the irresistible dumplings, the fiery Spicy Pork Belly, and the comforting Beef Gukbap.

Dumplings: We started our meal with a classic favorite – dumplings. Delicate parcels of joy, these dumplings were a testament to the chef's expertise. Each bite revealed a perfect balance of tender meat filling encased in a thin, chewy wrapper. Served with a savory dipping sauce, the dumplings set a high standard for the rest of our culinary journey.

Spicy Pork Belly: The star of the evening, without a doubt, was the Spicy Pork Belly. Grilled to perfection, the pork belly exuded smoky aromas and a tantalizing char. Glazed with a rich chili paste, each slice offered a harmonious blend of sweetness, spiciness, and succulence. The dish captured the essence of Korean cuisine with its bold flavors, leaving us yearning for more.

Beef Gukbap: As temperatures dropped outside, the Beef Gukbap emerged as a comforting elixir. This Korean-style beef soup boasted a gentle broth that enveloped us in warmth. Tender pieces of beef, aromatic spices, and the richness of the egg elevated this dish to a soul-soothing experience.

Our experience at Rice House was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of flavors, textures, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant made it a memorable evening.

However, it was the Spicy Pork Belly that stole the show, leaving an indelible mark on our taste buds. Kiel and I left Rice House with satisfied smiles, already planning our next visit to relish more of the culinary delights that this hidden gem...

Nice🥳🥳🥳 I like it 😘 I took off the meat from the bone and then put it back in the soup😋 The pork was very soft😍 I had happy lunch there again 😁 I definitely come back for trying other soup 👍🏻

Rice House Southport, you're my flavor-packed playground of yumminess! 🎉🍚 From the moment I laid eyes on that kimchi, my taste buds did a happy dance. And that creamy pasta salad side dish banchan? It's like a delightful surprise for my mouth at every bite – major heart eyes for that!

Let's talk mains: LA Galbi and spicy pork, you two are my foodie soulmates. 🥩🌶️ The way you sizzle and spice up my life is nothing short of magical. Oh, and don't even get me started on the corn cheese, fried rice cakes, and that finger-licking Korean fried chicken – they're like a squad of flavor superheroes!

Now, about the interior decor, well, it might not win any awards, but honestly, who needs fancy walls when you've got a parade of heavenly dishes making a grand entrance on your table? 🎊🍗🍚 Rice House Southport, you might not be a design marvel, but your flavors have taken me on a wild taste adventure that's pure happiness in every bite. 8 Sept 2024 (Sunday) Went to eat and it was 12noon, & despite sign saying they are open, they weren't. Tried calling the number and it was disconnected. Tried mobile number and no answer. Accurate opening hours is extremely important. Extremely disappointed! 😣 Fortunately I live close by and there are other restaurants that are open. ____________________________ Bought a couple dishes (LA Galbi and soondae) through Uber Eats (on 3.3.2024) as per photo. LA Galbi was a little too sweet for my taste. Also, it would have been great if there was the same kind and same number of side dishes for take away meals as you would get for dining in. Overall, the dishes were delicious. As it was take away, service and atmosphere are not applicable for ratings.
