The kebab Hub — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Service was good at the start, the girls greeted me politely. I asked for a bit of extra seasoning on my chips and they happily obliged. Then the manager came out from the back and started filling my chips up, as she walked over i politely asked if she could sprinkle a bit of extra seasoning on the top, as i did not want her to pour it all out again, to which she responded with attitude that i’m supposed to ask before she does the chips. I said that i did, and she looked at her staff members unpleasantly. When she came back over, she repeated again to me that next time i need to ask before the chips are done. I again, agitatedly said, i had already asked, and took my meal without another word. I had also been overcharged for my meal, as its 11.90 for the kebab +$6 for the meal and $1 for cheese, yet i was charged almost $20 dollars, only to have the kebab not be folder properly and the whole thing fall out. It was impossible to eat and i basically just paid for lamb as they barely put any other condiments that i asked for on it. Worst experience i have ever had at a restaurant, my first time at alibaba and i will never go back. The only saving grace was how delicious the lamb was, since that was all i pretty much got. I almost never put up reviews, however my experience here has gone downhill since the ownership has changed. The food was reasonably priced and of a reasonable quality before the change. Since the change, the new owners do not listen to your orders, try to charge you extra (tried to charge my partner for cheese on a kebab when she's lactose intolerant and specifically asked for no cheese) & clearly do not care about service at all. On the multiple occasions me and my friends/family have to purchase food there, the chips have been particularly bad with salt/seasoning being added to the chips once they are in the bowl, allowing for only a handful to be seasoned and the rest to be oily and borderline inedible. I can’t rate the ‘actual’ food here as I would now NEVER buy or eat anything from here! Whilst waiting for my food from the shop next door in the food court, I watched as a female staff member took a few steps away from the counter (as if she was going into the back but stopped and still in full view of the customers) stood and blew her nose into a tissue in her hand, then kept the tissue in her hand and walk straight back to the counter to serve people!! She also then went on to shake the chips in the fryer, pass a kebab to a customer, and numerous other jobs behind the counter!! In the time I sat eating my food I never once saw her go ‘into the back’ to wash her hands!! During this time, what looked like to be the manager just stood at the end of the counter...
