The Roost @ 53 — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Was humiliated with a shop full of customers when I went to order. When asked, I ordered a Celery, ginger and lemon juice (I ordered this a week ago and had no trouble at all, with amazing customer service!) instead of getting what I asked for I received a whole 5mins lecture about how food prices are on the rise, by the boss and that celery isn't substantial to have as a juice paired with the two other options I chose. Rudely interrupting the very nice lady currently serving me abruptly. To then being left stunned with the lady serving me at the service I just received. All I wanted to order was todays special (which the boss made wrong anyway) and my juice. . I didn't order anything complicated not on the menu. I ordered two things advertised. The "boss" has appalling customer service and I did not come into your store to hear about food prices. Try a more friendly approach next time. Also change your menu NOW, To better reflect the poor outcome of today's experience. Your menu says 3;options. Not specifically the rubbish you spun to me today. BEST STAFF IN YEARS! I usually do not leave google reviews and actually had to make an account but this gorgeous team deserves some love! The lady who looked after me (made my coffee, took order and had a black headband on) was so friendly, welcoming and gorgeous, I loved her bubbly energy and made me feel so comfortable and excited to start the day. Really refreshing to see such a cheerful and happy team who make this cafe a local gem! Delicious coffee and fresh food that came so fast! Great atmosphere and overall energy. This is an amazing little place full of potential. The variety of food is lovely. as a small business goes, it’s a little gold mind. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is Because one member of staff, the small female chef has a terrible attitude to strangers or for whatever reason she has not to like them. As a business owner I find it’s a complete shame and we can’t all be wrong reading through other reviews. I suggest the owner takes a good look at the reviews and takes the comments on board.
