CSi Club Southport — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Being regulars of this club (we live 1 min walk away)-we loved coming here because the kids entertainment zone is our sons favourite place & we get to sit & enjoy our meal whilst watching T.V in one of the booths. We were frequenting once a fortnight..but now we have gone less & less bcos the last 3 times,we have been disappointed in not only the service,but the food. The first disappointment was my sons chicken nuggets..they were on the verge of being burnt,but were served anyway! My husband took them back,only to be told by the waitress that they werent burnt,theyd just changed their oil!-no apology just an excuse! When he got new nuggets,they were golden brown,like they should be (nothing to do with the oil & more to do with watching them from burning)! Our next visit we ordered the Spagetti for him..this wasnt spagetti as we know it,but cheese on top of Pasta!

Next visit-My husband ordered a Penne Carbonara..Penne being the type of pasta..came out as as "Spagetti"..there were no mention of there being no Penne! My usual steak wasnt cooked as I asked,but wed already complained about the Penne,so I just ate it.

Todays visit-this is why im giving this feedback! Brought my son for lunch. Ordered the kids Hawaiian Pizza & a 200g Medium rare steak for me.. I went back to a waiter bcos I realised I hadnt recieved the kids free soft drink voucher. A lady came over with a large plate of Garlic bread & I told her it wasnt mine (how do you not know who ordered it)? When our meals came out the Pizza was bigger than wed had before..Id been charged for a large pizza,not kids hense why I didnt get the drink! I started eating my steak only to find it was "rare"..but I was hungry,so ate it but it wasnt enjoyable.. A waiter came over & I questioned him about the pizza..yes id been charged for the large,instead of kids & he apologised..offering me a drink..at least he apologised & didnt make excuses. I also told him this was the 2nd time my steak hadnt been cooked properly..

Im very disappointed in CSI because this was our family place to come,but the food & some staff have been less than average. Sadly I dont see us returning unless it improves,which will be sad for our son as he loves going there.. You need to review your staff & the chefs-it gets very busy & im sure there are alot of people who dont review,they just...

Walked in, my first time....how do I join?? Nobody to ask?? Went to a machine, but it was not one to join....walked to another, which sets up membership...not sure without membership I legally can walk in so far? Did the clubs work for them on my phone and it said I have to get my card from the kiosk?? Never been there...whete was the kiosk?? Asked and told, I di not need a physical card...later told I do??? Got ny card from a machine, which apparently was a kiosk??

My guest told me to best order at the counter??

" two surf and turf...both with chips and veg one medium one mediuim rare"

" You will have to order them seperate"

" Ok...I want to pay for them both? "Ok, you can" ..""what is the first one"?

"One of the ones I just asked for...then the other"

" So what was it"

"Did you want chips and salad or veg?

" Chips and salad"

"And what was the seco order" ? " exactly the same again, but medium rare" " do you want chips and salad ir veg" " chips and salad, like the other"

Sooner or later a stupid robot comes over...no hello or pleasant anything, I see two meals, that it cannot put on the table, so I have to stand up and do the job myself. I unload one meal, but the other is wrong....its a steak with veg??? I cannot talk to the stupid robot, so leave my table and go back to the counter. Woman will not believe I was at table 66 and it takes ages to convince her, I am right...becayse its easy to remember...I was born in 66. We go back to robot/receipt and she says " no its right...thats what you ordered" I tell her it is not and I never order just steak or veg. It takes a while and eventually I just go to another lady. She was a young attractive girl, maybe a manager and she re-orders, gives me the money difference and brings my meal. Meanwhile robot sits there and does nothing..until a guy who works there comes over and says " oh the robot is stuck is it?"

I am fed up with all this garbage by now and i say" i dont know, I don't work here" He pushes sime buttons and the stupid robot goes away.

Food is ok.

I go home, cut up my card and will not go through that bullshit again.

The biggest irony is i believe it used to be a workers club??? Now it has not even got workers.

Go elsewhere where they have people. ..its not even cheaper due to having...

(1 star is too many) I have been a regular customer of the CSI club for many years, hosting many events there in the past and always recommending it to friends and family. After the way my family and I were treated last night at our dinner for Mother's day I will absolutely never be back! The young Man in training who serviced our table was one of rudest staff members I have ever encountered at an establishment. He was extremely rude from the beginning! His attitude towards customers was extremely poor. After he rudely placed the meals down, he threw the whole pile of cutlery onto the table with force before walking away. A complaint was made about this certain staff member to which the manager then approached our table and instead of offering an apology for the behaviour of one of his staff members, he was extremely rude. By this stage our family had finished their meals (which weren't all that great mind you) So we had packed up and left. Whilst waiting in the foyer for the lift and saying our goodbyes the same manager approached our group with his security guard in tow demanding to know who had said something about his Staff. The manager that was working last night was on a complete power trip! He was very worked up! Yelling at our whole group which included small children. After he did not receive the response that he demanded from us, he told us all we were not welcome back ever again. Absolutely DISGUSTED in the way we were treated last night! Very interested to talk to either the owner or anyone else above this managers pay grade to discuss this. With the amount of money that was spent from a group booking of 14 people what occurred last night was not at...
