Absolutely appalling service and hygiene!

We had dinner here today — just two people and ordered three dishes: a hot pot, pork hock, and fried chicken.

Halfway through the fried chicken, we pulled out a long strand of hair embedded between the chicken meat and the skin — it was disgusting beyond words. We had already bitten into it before noticing.

When we told the waitress, her attitude was extremely poor. She insisted the hair couldn’t be from their kitchen because “all the chefs are male.” I asked her — how could my hair get wedged inside the chicken like that? And isn’t she a female staff member working here too?

She went to talk with others and came back still denying responsibility, saying it definitely wasn’t their fault. Then she offered a discount — but I told her, “It’s not about the money. I can afford this. It’s a matter of food hygiene. After seeing that, neither of us had any appetite left.”

At the end, our bill was supposed to be around $130. We gave $150 cash. She applied a discount, bringing the total to $93, but somehow claimed we only gave $100 and acted annoyed when we questioned it. I calmly pointed to the CCTV above and told her to count the cash. Sure enough, she found the missing $50 and returned it — but never even apologized.

Unbelievable attitude. Completely unprofessional.

Will never return — and I strongly advise others to avoid...

Went for dinner here with some friends. It was a spur of the moment decision so we called the restaurant on short notice (it was a Sunday about 6:30pm) and they were very accomodating (4 adults and 3 children) with setting up a table for us. Unfortunately they don’t have highchairs so we had to cart along a booster seat for our little one.

All the food was delicious. I’d especially recommend the sweet and spicy fried chicken, it’s not too spicy but has a mild kick tempered by the sticky sweetness of the sauce. Also the corn cheese side was really good too, as was the beef bulgogi and kimchi. The spicy pork belly was too hot for me, but our friends enjoyed it, who admitted it was very spicy even for them.

It was very hot inside the restaurant and we were all sticky and sweaty by the time we left so I don’t think the space is air conditioned. The lighting is colourful but still quite dark which adds to the...

Honestly the service alone was quite appalling, I went in for some quick lunch while shopping and the service wasn’t good, I wasn’t seated, had to ask for everything and even got told to collect basic things like condiments myself from the storage area on the other side of the room. The food was quite half rate and made me feel sick afterwards, would not recommend. To top it off, I was eating for roughly 15 minutes when I was asked to finish and leave (food still on the plate) to close because the waitress said she needed to go to an appointment, keep in mind this was around 2:30 pm. If we were only going to be given a certain amount of time to eat and not made aware that they would have been closing we would not have eaten...

Ah, the definitive kfry restaurant on the coast. Excellent portion sizes, open till very late for the Gold Coast and in general. Been going for years and my only regret is not emptying out my wallet even more at this fantastic restaurant. Forget the rest, come have k fry here. The boneless kfry (I got the spicy flavour) is a must get coming here. The kimchi pancake is good to try here as well! Umm best to have takoyaki elsewhere. Corn and cheese is always a nice add-on dish. And if you drink alcohol, wash it down w some soju! I’ve heard it’s quite good!! What an excellent restaurant, not much else to say. The boneless kfry is immaculate and that’s all that’s required.
