Waterfront Restaurant — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Really disappointing. The restaurant a couple of years ago was very average. The club seemed to change chefs, changed the menu, and dining was excellent. It appears there may be a new chef as the menu has changed, but more importantly, quality of the meal was less than average. Being coeliac, the options were minimal. I decided to try the Thursday special - barramundi (grilled or crumbed). I received a meal comprising a piece of (dry) grilled/overcooked fish, with a side of dry, overcooked “roast” potatoes, with a side salad. The small salad was the best option on the plate. I could have selected the $49 steak, but felt the price was quite excessive for a club. We went there on a Sunday night for dinner and drinks to celebrate a birthday. We were a small group with kids. We ordered the Grilled Barramundi, Parma, Oysters and Bug Meat Linguine- all came out at a reasonable time and tasted AMAZING!! The venue was bright, had a good atmosphere and had great views of the marina. We were seated on the deck and could see the water and yatchs. There was also a playground for the kids which kept them entertained. We arrived at 5.30pm and it was fantastic to eat and enjoy each others company while watching the day slowly come to an end.... definitely recommend, especially if you are only holidaying on the Gold...

Came here expecting to get the seafood platter but it isnt available. The menu on the web site is different to the ACTUAL menu in the club. Not happy Jan.
