I ordered a duck with fried rice and extra vegetables. The duck was 80% bones, I really had to struggle to get a little bit of meat between my teeth, and two times I nearly broke a bit of a tooth because I bit on the bone. Furthermore the skin wasn't crispy at all. It was unenjoyable! The "vegetables" I got, were nothing else than a wilded leaf of green cabbage, it really was an absolute impudence!! After I finished I asked the staff if I could get a little bit more duck please but instead of trying to satisfy me, they were not really friendly. My girlfriend had noodles with vegetables and beef. The reality: vegetables = 2 pieces of capsicum, beef = 5 little strips! We both were still very hungry afterwards because the portions were very small!
This was my second time chinese in Australia. The first time was in Melbourne, where I ordered exactly the same and I had 100% exactly the same horrible food on the plate (duck with bones and a leaf of green cabbage as vegies)!! Is it normal in Australia that Chinese food is so extremely bad? I am from Germany I had about hundred times chinese back home and it was always at least good. I never had any bones in a duck, not even a few, always completely boneless and when I order vegies I get a nice mix of different stuff.
To the community: Is that normal in Australia, that you get pretty much the garbage when you go to a chinese restaurant? I am really shocked so far, but maybe I was just unlucky. Open for advices where...
Read moreI have been eating at this little Chinese restaurant for the last 7 years, I used to like it. I would get fried rice or the special meal with fried rice and a dish like beef and black bean, or honey chicken and fried rice. There are a few other things I have had off the menu and in general they were good to very good. I got takeaway from there on Friday, it was a beef and black bean with fried rice..... And it was terrible.... Actually it was disgusting. The meat had no flavour and was Tough and Chewy. The black bean sauce wasn't nice and couldn't be tasted on the meat at all. The fried rice didn't appear to be fried and looked more like just a boiled rice with minimal ingredients added... There was a bit of fried egg that didn't look great and very bland taste. Another place that I would have recommended in the past but never anymore bites the dust. Too bad I guess... I will search for a...

The man at the counter was so careless 😣 It was not busy then I’m sure I said the words “Have here, Hainan chicken and wonton soup “ He didn’t make sure my order then changed more first, it’s $26.7😵 And he served them me as a take away ☹️ Hainan chicken came with normal rice which was disappointed 😔 But chicken tasted good 😊 Soup was ok☺️ They were reasonable price….. Food average 3⭐️ Service mmm🤔 1⭐️
