I feel very disappointed for the way that the reception manager lady treated the reward winner. She even made a excuse to take my reward ticket away.

In Sopo every member should have a birthday reward which is different from the daily reward or lucky draw when swipe the card. It was my first time to win a bronze reward at the entrance sign in machine today. After I swiped the membership card, the screen said happy birthday (my birthday month) and a ticket dropped down. Somehow I mixed up and thought it was the birthday drink voucher. The ticket was written Bronze reward valid only today. When I entered the restaurant it was full and no table available, and the bar had many people waiting. I was thinking to change restaurant but in the meantime, I didn’t want to give up my birthday voucher. So I asked the reception manager for help. She looked impatient and unfriendly, kept saying that the ticket is only valid today even I mentioned that it was not my birthday, I would like keep it for my birthday to use. Later she checked my ticket and said it belonged to a male and took it away. It was until I left the restaurant that I realised how unprofessional and dishonest she was. She could easily explain to me that the ticket was the daily reward I won and had nothing to do with the birthday voucher instead of telling a liar and rudely taking it away. As a regular diner I feel quite offended for the...

So much to like and enjoy but sadly we had to leave early. Food service staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Drink service staff really took there time. Enjoyed chatting to each each other while large lines were created.

We tried to enjoy the meal but sadly it was cut short and we had to go.

Menu quite extensive and prices well. The food quality was quite nice and good flavours.

So why did we leave early? The music! A band was playing which played some decent tunes but the volume was sooooooooo loud. Like excessively loud. Even the quite aged crowd were struggling with it. Having travelling 2.5 hours and staying in town for the night we arranged for a group of friends to meet for dinner and catch up chat and conversation. But we ate, couldn’t talk, cause the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other.

We spoke with a staff member asking if there was a quiet location and she sadly said there wasn’t and agreed the band was extremely loud and more than normal. It kinda wrecked out night and we had to leave finding somewhere quiet to speak but was getting late by this point and ears still ringing we called it quits and left.

Positive side is, on-site free parking. Just good luck...

Rsl club southport we are absolutely upset by our experience.

We ensured we came to the club early to have lunch a couple drinks and be at the wiggles show early to have front row/ decent spots...

Instead

Our meals were ready way after other people who ordered after us not to mention we ordered fried food as per the ladys recommendation of quick food, she also said it was crumbed not battered.

My mother was not given an apology or anything when asking staff about the food not arriving and others already receiving food and leaving the dining venue.

The manager seemed to think a sandwich would solve the issue of not being able to eat the food and burning our mouths trying to eat fast. He did eventually give a refund for the meal however that has not solved the issue that we are now stuck at the back of the wiggles concert...

We bought the tickets day of release as a birthday present for my son and had planned to be early today, eat and drink at the rsl and then be at the concert early for front/ decent spots.

Very upsetting and this is not the first poor experience at the rsl and due to the rsl experience we are left in the back...

First time visit and really enjoyed having a quick bite to eat. The young girl when I asked a question was unsure but showed initiative to help with a solution and a smile on her face. It was just refreshing and unexpected from other similar places I visit when asking the younger staff questions. Came for a dinner and the food looked and tasted great. I always have to try the parmigiana when I go new places and this one was on the better side. Thick chicken breast and everything just tasted fresh. My mouth waters thinking about my next visit here. Everything seemed really nicely set out. Not over crowded and clean which makes for a relaxing evening. The entertainment was playing some great tunes that had some ppl dancing the night away. Looking forward to coming back Only slight critique, theres a wall that has name of service men and woman on gold plates. It was in a dark corner. And using our phone lights it was reflecting to much and couldn’t read names. Unfortunately we were unable to find my friends grandfathers one.

They didn’t have Aperol Spritz nor any idea what one was when I asked which can be forgiven especially when you have young bar staff however it’s a staple drink for those aspiring boojey bars on the GC. When our food came out they had ran out of burger buns so used two pieces of toast instead. When presented with our food there was no offer of a complementary drink or free dessert, instead it was a shoulder shrug. Again, young staff and I don’t aim my criticism at them however the people responsible for running the venue need to pick up their game.
