The hungry jacks fried chicken burgers they have going at the moment are sensational, I'm not a fast food fan except chips mostly. These burgers are thick and juicey not dry and gross and the chicken looks barely processed even, I'm sure it is but it looks so real when eating had the sort of stringy texture and layers you get with off a roast chicken breast, colour looks almost like chicken thigh, slightly darker than breast which is very white, chips are great from here, all staff seem lovely and helpful, and there is no cultural barriers as is common with almost all McDonald's outlets now, I won't go there anymore. It's lovely to see average Aussie kids still getting employed here, not the franchisees whole family from India like all McDonald's. Sorry but that's just straight up facts in the fast food industry. KFC keeps it balanced too, McDonald's has lost their minds. South Hobart in particular I can say the food is always fresh and you're always greeted with a smile and friendly face. For someone who doesn't really even like fast food id recommend this for a convient snack and especially the chicken burgers Hungry jacks nailed these these burgers. Good job guys. Also thanks for keeping your staffing diverse. Aussie kids need these jobs as a starting point to the work force and I absolutely resent so many McDonald's restaurants barely employing any white, Asian (yeah i know India is part of Asia) African or Aboriginal basically any race other than...
Read moreWe are talking HJ's, so it is exactly what you expect. The low rating is due to the place being understaffed, staff so busy that they run off before providing the customer with their order number. Sadly, the excessive number of order recipes filled on the counter around the printer makes it pot luck if you grab one when you realise that you now have no idea what your order number is. There is a constant stream of Uber drivers coming in, catching up loudly at the counter, making it impossible to hear the stressed staff member holding a paper bag calling out the full order. Also, it looks to be a very bad management decision to have a staff member on the front counter while also taking drive-through orders. This is because while they are looking in abandoned paper bags at the counter, they are calling out what was ordered in the drive-through. All I can say is more staff or improve the internal operating procedures. To management, for the love of God, if you do develop new procedures to counter low starffing, use the people doing the task. Don't have someone sitting in a back office do it. You'll only make...
Read moreI dont normally leave bad reviews but I hope this may spark the company to train their staff better. The drive thru server that was on tonight around 7pm needs some serious training in customer service. I get Hungry Jack's is a fast food place however the server was rushed, abrupt, rude and had poor communication skills. They seemed young and inexperienced but also inequipped to manage customers and the stress and demands being placed on them. They'd benefit from some serious training in customer service delivery. On a separate note, despite the servers rushed attitude, the service through the drive thru was remarkably slow. Food was tasty but was on the colder side...
