Trophy Room is a spectacular place to go if you enjoy food that is considered, smart and seasonal. It’s also just FREAKING delicious. They make their own bread, bacon, cheese, pasta… well, everything - and you can see it happen in an open kitchen that overlooks a light and smartly laid out dining room. You can make the experience beautifully intimate for yourself at one of the tables of two near the windows, position yourself next to the record player and have a little boogie, or share the communal table with a nice neighbour. We’ve already been there many times for different purposes since they opened. We’ve ordered two savoury breakfast dishes, and then adding the pancakes on for “breakfast dessert”, then once for a fast pasta and snack, and for a longer lunch where we just rolled through the whole menu. It’s also a highlight of all our week running in and grabbing some of their delicious crueller donuts and a batch brew to takeaway. The service is friendly, kind and accommodating. We have a five month old baby and have never been made to feel uncomfortable about wheeling in a giant pram, and that’s exceptional stuff! Trophy Room is the ultimate reward.

Would share more photos but we scoffed the food before remembering to take any. A wonderful local lunch spot with fresh, homemade everything. The whole menu was flawless. The bread was to die for. The freshest oysters from Boomer Bay. Delicious salami. Banging deserts. Great wine list with a good selection by the glass. All served by a super-friendly team. We went for lunch and it was bustling but not overly noisy. Atmosphere was relaxed, no sense of having to rush. I’d recommend going for anything from a glass of wine and a snack to full-blown lunch or dinner. The menu changes regularly, so we’ll be back!

We got to Trophy Room at 8am on a Saturday for breakfast. Folks were already seated. By 8.20am it was packed with no tables available. Service was friendly (but as it was so busy the hot drinks were a little as slow coming out), nice vibes and I enjoyed a delicious mocha. I ordered the pancake stack which was delicious but could have been slightly bigger. Same for the polenta, oyster mushrooms and egg fish that my partner ordered; delicious but on the small side. I work outdoors so I have a healthy appetite! Regardless, I was impressed over all and would go back to try other dishes on the menu.

This restaurant has integrity: food seasonal and considered for texture, flavour, price and delivery. Rose and her partner James offer a wonderful range of food well cooked textured and sweet paired with new fresh and delicious wines. My second time here My partner and I tried the pork though cooked to pink it was still sweet despite a delicious caramel chargrilling and served with a small slab of potato fried and garnished with anchovy, ricotta and ? banana pepper ( nice touch of intrigue James!) Sweet dear blonde Rose came to offer me a wine to start: I chose a "pet Nat" from the Adelaide Hills..reminding me of a classic dry green wine or first wine 11% alcohol light and fresh a red tone not white. After the crunch of the home made sour dough some yummy home made tagliatelle topped with goats curd and hazelnuts then a sublime mascarpone flavoured with meyer lemon and pepita praline crunch which you might never ever have imagined... a bill of under $200 and we both felt delightfully treated in the ceremonial sense! We thank you both for starting this great little restaurant cnr Yardley and Argyle Sts North Hobart and look forward to your 1st...

Trophy Room in North Hobart is a fantastic venue with a chic bistro vibe, overcoming challenges faced by former restaurants a that site. The service is down-to-earth and highly accommodating, and the food is made from the finest, freshest local produce. The in-house baked bread is generous and delicious. The menu changes daily, ensuring fresh and exciting options each visit. Nothing I ate on either occasion I visited disappointed because the chef makes everything that comes out of the tiny kitchen is balanced just right in terms of texture, flavour, and taste, accompanied by great sauces that make the dishes sing. The chef's skill shines through every dish, including perfectly cooked meats, salads, and vegetables. With great space, terrific but understated service, ample parking, and a pleasant noise level, it’s an excellent choice for dining. I will...
