Black Buffalo Hotel — Restaurant in Hobart

I have been to Black Buffalo several times (upward of 20/30) since moving to New Town and have never had any major issues (I wouldn’t keep going back) But tonight changed that, I had booked online for 6:15 and upon arriving (we were 10 mins early) but we were told that they had “forgotten” about our booking for 9 Things just went down hill from here, our meals took forever and when they came they weren’t correct (lovely staff member went above and beyond to ensure this was fixed I didn’t catch her name) But the food was a solid 4/10 tonight, the beef and Guinness pie was the only thing that was fully eaten everything else was very unlike the usual meals at buffalo.

When I spoke to staff about our extensive wait times and meals, she was very sorry and had refunded one of the meals (as it had been sent out wrong, and then forgotten about it did not come out for an hour and 15 min) Will take some time away from here but as I’ve said this was the first time it has been bad enough to give a negative review.

As stated the woman was fabulous just seemed to be very understaffed, but she was trying her best running meals, taking/making drinks, the poor bugger didn’t stop.

This review is for my gaming experience in the pokies room at Black Buffalo. There is an arrogant lady working there on Sunday night approx 5pm (24/8/2015) who told me off. I was simply sitting quietly at the machines playing. I’m a non smokers, non drinker, non drugs, and don’t make trouble. All I had done was left my empty coffee cup on machine and she got shitty at me about it. Then when I told my partner about her behaviour towards me, she approached me and rudely said don’t talk about me, say it to my face, so I said I found her service towards me to be rude, then she rudely spoke back to me again. This is unacceptable to treat patrons/customers this way. I’ve given them hundreds of dollars in their machines. You have lost a customer, will never visit Black Buffalo again and I do not recommend this place, I will be telling all my gaming friends about my awful experience there with rude worker and to stay away from Black Buffalo. Went in for a pub meal with my brother to check it out. Hadn't eaten here before so was interested to see what they had on offer.

On entering we were met with very friendly staff. The place was neat and clean and on this occasion not overly busy.

Decided to try something different from the usual Parmy or Schnitzel so settled on the Beef & Gusiness Pot Pie with mash and vegetables (did take photos but for some reason I'm not able to post them on this review). With a drink it came to about $29. The food was served in fairly quick time. I felt the pot pie was a little lacking but not terrible. The mask and vegetables were fine. My brother opted for the chicken Grilled Ceasar Salad which seemed to be far better value.

As I didn't stay the night I can't comment on the hotel rooms but this place has been established for a long time and they seem to have the place well organised. Plenty of free parking onsite makes it...
