I'm sure the perfectly cut (and mushy) carrots, beans and two pieces of cauliflower were from a packet of frozen vegies. The "curry paste" was a watery coconut tin and the rice was mush. Vegetable dishes didn't even offer packet tofu. The quintessential Thai dish "pad thai" was thin chinese noodles with some limp cabbage and hardly any flavour.
