This place is our local. Why? The food is excellent and it has a great vibe. The chicken parmi is next level good and if you're hungry - go for it. The burgers are fantastic, fries are the best in Husky, Rost Biff and the fish I had one night was as good as a bistro in Sydney. Only minuses: the mussels weren't great. The sauce a bit bitter and overpowering and when they say pommes frites, I expected French fries and not flash fried shredded potato. Also, the Caesar salad was a bit puny in the serving size but the flavours were excellent. Also, the acoustics are pretty poor, inside. If there's a rowdy group of people, you can't hear conversations. But that aside, we love the place and think they're doing a great job. We recommend it to everyone who comes to visit. Buds has a great vibe, the staff are attentive, friendly and the Booze+Juice especially Fireballs are delicious. Tonight we had the chef's banquet on Filipino Monday. Our table were new to Filipino cuisine and it definitely wont be our last, the flavours were really bold, punchy and fresh. The Kinilaw -yellow fin civiche. Wow, the flavours are so fresh and the coconut sauce compliments it perfectly, it is an absolute highlight! The Liang - barramundi with spicy coconut sauce — the fish is cooked perfectly, flaky and with crispy skin. The Buko Pandan - coconut pandan panna cotta is the perfect sweet ending to your meal. The panna cotta is silky smooth with the perfect amount of coconut flavor, while the pandan adds a fragrant touch that really elevates the dessert.
