Congratulations on this new sushi place in central Ipswich👏🏼 a much desired addition for workers and locals. I've been here every week since they opened. The service and speed just improves everytime but more importantly the food is fresh and delicious. Quality and flavour! For weeks I watched the owners transform this old unused shed space into a vibrant industrial kitchen. Housed down the hill in the old locksmith shed in the central carpark under the big owl mural. You can see this bright green shop from the train. Be aware that it can take 15 minutes on some orders because it's FRESH!! There are sushi lunch packs behind the counter for busy office workers for $12 with a drink. Bargain. Grab one and go👌🏼 Excellent service every time. Despite my order ticket clearly saying half sushi, I was told at pickup that I needed to pay $5 extra because they claimed I had ordered a large. There was no explanation, and it felt like I was being unfairly charged for their mistake.
I also ordered fresh tuna nigiri, but was disappointed with the quality. The rice portion was far too thick, the shape looked rushed and square, and the overall presentation was poor. Altogether, this felt like a careless and dishonest experience. I usually try to support local businesses, but I walked away feeling ripped off and...
Read moreReally unimpressed. I’m sure the food may taste great, however when I ordered online to pick up I expected a notification to say my meal was ready so after nearly one hour and no notification I thought I would just turn up, only to find that my food was sitting on a counter next to the register for a lengthy period of time. Anyone with food safety knowledge would realise this is risky practice. ‘People just know to come and pick it up after 20 minutes’ is not an acceptable excuse.’We don’t have time to notify people when their order is ready’ also not acceptable. Disappointed and...
