Park Central Cafe — Restaurant in Kiama

EXTREMELY BAD experience at this cafe today 21/02/2022 around 12pm. Firstly, my sister and I wanted to order a smoothie, and simply asked if we could add passionfruit in it as I saw it on the menu. The nice lady on the register asked the man behind the bar (who was not wearing a mask) if they had any passionfruit, he said no and then continued to grab a menu and place it in front of us and rudely ask if we even knew the ingredients in the smoothies. Clearly we didn’t but I saw passionfruit as an option. We paid for our smoothies and waited outside for them to be made. Nobody in the restaurant except the lady who served us had a mask on. I then saw the blonde girl make our smoothies without a mask and open a plastic container which had fruit in it with her mouth. Need to say this - I travel from Sydney to Kiama regularly (every Wednesday to visit the Farmers Markets) and I used to drop in to other coffee shops along the way before getting to Kiama. However - after having lunch and coffee at Park Central I have now changed my routine and have coffee there as I truly appreciate their coffee above all other places. As a person who drinks around 5-10 cups of coffee a day I can honestly say their coffee is the best. What a breath of fresh air this cafe is. It has been rebranded from a previous business, and has risen phoenix like into a very pleasant place for lunch or a cafe rendezvous. Coffee was always good here but the re-invention of the menu into a very clever, all day dining experience is an absolute delight. Menu offerings are as seductive as any experienced in Sydney. The owner has also decided to celebrate the talent of local artists by providing much of the wall space to show artworks. We look forward to watching, tasting, and enjoying how this very welcome arrival to Kiama's food scene evolves and grows...
