Pixel Coffee Brewers — Restaurant in Leederville

I called this place at 7 am this morning to order 3 acai bowls. The person told me they would be ready for collection at 7.25. I arrived at the coffee shop to collect them and there were 2 staff at the till. One was a new girl who was actually very friendly and apologetic, the other guy was very dismissive and rude, said it was not his fault because the owner takes phone orders and texts it through to them and they didn't have time to make it. No apology. In the end as I had no breakfast I had to buy 2 croissants and banana bread, none of which were particularly nice and they didn't offer me a discount or free coffee or anything to compensate for the mistake. They didn't even offer to make it quickly. Even if if they didn't have time to make my order I should have gotten a call back from them so I didn't drive all the way there (out of my way before work) to collect it. Really bad service I was...

I'm not sure if this place has new owners... we used to love Pixel a few years back for its reliability and quality but this morning they couldn't get poached eggs on toast right. Hard eggs despite ordering them soft which was odd considering we were the only people in the cafe at that time. My long macc was served strangely in a cappuccino cup instead of a glass although the waiter assured me it was what I ordered. Acai bowl was okay but $3 extra for nut butter when a whole jar costs $9 is a bit rich. All of the hot breaky items at Pixel now cross the $20 barrier and the cold ones are close to $20... it just seems really over-priced for what you end up getting. Also the blonde barista guy seemed to be selectively polite to regulars but a bit off with others today...

My partner and I drove 30 minutes away to drive to a very disappointing breakfast. 1 star is lenient! We made a reservation on Wednesday, and there was no seat for us, luckily we got the worst seat in the building. They got our order wrong, missing the almond milk in the coffee, so they re did it and the barista had the worst attitude doing it, banging cups and making rackets, we received the worst coffee back, we couldn’t even finish it. The customer service was shocking, especially the barista, she had a serious attitude problem. I got the avo mash with “tomato’s” revived a single cherry tomato cut in half! If I could right more I would but I’m going to save my fingers! Will never be coming back and never recommending. Super disappointing start to this...
