They were rated pretty high on here so I thought it would be a good place to eat. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. When I like a place I’ll recommend it to all my friends and family, given the chance, but if a place isn’t anything special naturally I just won’t mention it. Well, the experience I had here was so bad that I go so far as to warn people not to waste their money and time here!
I bought a ginger chicken stir-fry, a jasmine rice, and some fish cakes. Rice was well cooked but notably a bit too expensive for a small rice compared to other Thai restaurant prices fish cakes were fine The ginger chicken stir-fry… tasted like dirt! When we asked the chef what was wrong with the taste he said that sometimes ginger tastes like dirt!(?)
I love Thai food and have eaten my fair share of it throughout my life, and ginger is something I cook with all the time. I have never in my life had a ginger stir-fry that tasted like someone rolled the vegetables around in the dirt before cooking them. I was so mortified by this that I looked it up and scoured the internet to find any information that says that ginger sometimes tastes like dirt, and the only thing I could find was that it will taste bad if it’s too old to cook with.. I just can’t believe the chef had the nerve to tell me that the meal I paid for was supposed to taste like dirt!! They didn’t offer us a refund and were quite rude about the whole thing. I was too shocked by the terrible service to do anything.
Serious, please just save your money rather than going here. They don’t care about their customers and think they have no taste buds. There are so many better Thai restaurants out...
Read moreHad a lovely date night here which seemed to be very popular for other locals on a Friday night.
Was sat down, greeted and given a table all within a minute, then had cold tap water, cups, plates, and cutlery on the table shortly after.
The lady managing the orders, clearing the tables, delivering the food, and making the drinks was doing everything so fast and with a big beautiful smile - she had lovely customer service and was genuinely friendly.
We ordered their mixed entrees which was lovely, and accomdated us by switching the pork dimsim to another curry puff as we can't eat pork, and she advised us they have a halal certificate which was fantastic. Both my husband and I tried something new and enjoyed the lemongrass and garlic stir-fry (10/10), and the kao sai gai coconut egg noodle chicken curry also 10/10 with a small side rice.
Left with full bellies and...
Read moreThe food was nice, a bit salty but still authentic, however the staff was not. We ordered Tom Yam Soup large, the stuff ordered it wrong and ordered a small, when she delivered I double confirm with her it was large and she said yes. As it was really small so we decided to order another one after I paid she then told me she accidentally order a small for us and she ordered another small for us again. As the first one was just delivered to us we haven't touched it, I asked her whether we can combine our two order to a large one as we just ordered the second one and she said no. Without apologizing, she just smile at me awkwardly. We end us ordering 2 small Tom Yam Soup and end up paying $20, where we could of just paid $14 for a large one. I strongly recommend the owner to re-train their stuff, I would not recommend people to go, if they still maintain this...
