Brumby's Margaret River — Restaurant in Margaret River

My first one star review. Customer service was appalling, shop was dirty, tables weren't clean and food was all over floor. We had to wipe down our own table. I do not recommend. We order sweets and coffee. The girl who took this order made an error. I only realised once I took the food (which was in a brown paper bag) back to the table (approximately ten steps from the counter). I took the bag straight back to the counter and told her about the error and she abrubtly responded with 'no, that is what you ordered', basically calling me a liar and charging me again for the correct item. Had a very mediocre coffee & toasted sandwich there recently & noticed staff (3) continually on iPhones not noticing that customers were waiting and a cafe whose tables needed cleaning off as well as floors that appeared not to have been cleaned for some time ..just a very dirty uncared for cafe with staff completely oblivious to…..I know what I’d be doing if I was owner & that’s ban the use of iPhones whilst on duty & give clear & concise orders as to thei list of duties. Sorry, but I wouldn’t be paying ppl to run down my business. Can’t believe you’re not aware...

I just don’t get it. So many other places we can go for a food experience and atmosphere that is so much better. And yes, we got caught, but regret so times a million!!!!!! A chain doing a chain thing that just has low quality produce at top dollar. Sausage roll this morning - over $5, served below medium cold, so thin we had to check it was a sausage roll, and had a taste of plastic and artificial qualities that first mouthful just disappointed with next level layers.
