Just ordered about an hour ago. Raw chicken. Can’t believe it.
Look I really don’t want to put 1 star because I usually enjoy the ramen here, but this order was just awful. I ordered a Gyudon rice bowl, tori karaage, takoyaki and geri karaage (squid tentacles) for takeaway to share with my boyfriend.
I’ll tackle the worst problem first. The tori karaage was nothing like karaage, it was these 5 weird gigantic deep fried ball served with a ton of coleslaw. And inside them were extremely raw. I really hope I nor others don’t get food poisoning from this because it was just so awful.
The squid tentacles were extremely oily it left a puddle of oil in the box and spilt everywhere.
The takoyaki I usually get but this time it was so soggy and some were really weird texture in the middle as if not cooked properly.
And the gyudon was so greasy and full of mostly noodles instead of beef.
In terms of service, they left the bag sitting on the table for ages without calling out the order to me or anything. I was sitting right in front of them and no one mentioned that the order was mine or even looked at me so I assumed it was an Uber order or something. One waitress who served me, even she was confused why I was sitting for so long; she didn’t know I didn’t even get my order yet. Not her fault but I wasted so much time sitting for an order that was already ready.
I’m honestly so disappointed and didn’t want to leave a bad review but the most important thing is the raw chicken. I don’t know how it can be so burnt on the outside and so raw inside. The picture I took isn’t even the worst one. We broke others open before my partner just became disgusted and threw them all in the bin. Please don’t give raw food to your...
Read moreI’ve been to this particular branch twice and both times my experience on the quality of Ramen has been quite poor. After seeing a few positive reviews thought I’ll give it another try thinking that it may have improved since my last visit. Unfortunately, not only was I disappoint in my Soft shell crab Ramen but also with the service. It was a busy period mind you but the turn over was not bad. I was seated at a huge table almost outside the restaurant and I hated it from the onstart as I was dining by myself and felt I was on display for everyone passing by. Asked if I could move to a corner vacant table and was answered back that the servers will get confused where to bring the food so no. I would understand if they had to remember table numbers but you basically go up to the counter, pay for the meal and then leave the receipt on the table so they can look & cross it on the receipt.
Now when I visit Asian restaurants I don’t go for the service or the ambience, I go for the food. So I thought, having ordered the most priciest ramen on the menu might be worth the cringe worthy wait. It was not. The only thing that was good about the dish was the crab, which was not even a full piece with it’s legs missing. The rest of the dish was bland that the broth tasted like the water that was used to wash a bowl of ramen. In the end I just gave up after finishing the crab and few spoons of broth. Sad waste of $15.80. Lesson...
Read moreThe service is just terrible and the the way this restaurant works is just a joke. My partner and I went here to enjoy our dinner date but it turned out to be very bad. First of all, eventhough my partner ordered "beef curry (rice)" they brought "curry beef ramen (noodles)" after waiting for 25 minutes. When we told the staff that we didn't order ramen they didn't want to accept the fact that my partner had ordered beef curry rice! After another 15 minutes, they came back with beef curry with rare (uncooked) beef. I don't know if I could even call it rare beef because the blood was coming out and floating in the curry. I am very sure that there are many people out there who don't want their meat to be rare. They should've made it clear that the meat will come out rare and there is an option to get it fully cooked (we found out about this when we told the staff that the meat is too rare). There are many staffs walking around in the restaurant and I do not understand why the customers have to go all the way to the counter to order. If they can walk around the restaurant bringing food, can't they just come to the table to take our orders as well? I AM DEFINATELY SURE IF THE CUSTOMERS ARE ABLE TO POINT OUT AT THE MENU WHEN THEY ORDER THE WORKERS WILL MAKE LESS MISTAKES!! I am very disappointed because the past two visits have been good. We are never coming back to this...
