Alimentari is solid spot with a good layout, lots of seating options, and in a great location. The offerings are varied and high quality, they seem to cater to people with lots of different dietary requirements and everything looked fresh and appealing. Whether you're keen to sit down and eat, grab something on the go, or buy and freeze a meal, there is an option for you. The salads are great with good serving size options. The reason I'm not giving Alimentari five stars is due to the service that we received today. The person we ordered from told us that there was no soup on offer (we later saw a delicious looking bowl of soup served to someone seated nearby) and put us down as a takeaway order when it was quite clear that we would be dining in. It was a perplexing interchange for sure. As a result, the person who then served us our food was not set up for success however they did very little to recover from the misunderstanding; passing us our food in small to go boxes and insisting that we would have to pay extra to eat in the restaurant. Eventually we seemed to come to a compromise in which our food was given to us in the to go boxes in a bowl. I'm not quite sure what was accomplished here but it seemed to leave the server happy. As mentioned, Alimentari is a solid restaurant that I would recommend, perhaps just be wary that the serving staff may not be as attentive as expected and plan accordingly.

What a place! Fresh, delicious and simple foods made with quality ingredients and love. The service was just superb with the floor manager and waiters delivering timely and personalised service. Everything we had was great from wrap to panning to burger (and drinks as well). Two adults and two kids were taken very good care of in what is clearly a bit of a cool place to be. Great aesthetic and atmosphere. A great menu and as we were sat near the kitchen we saw everything come out and it was jealousy inducing. Yet, we were thrilled with what we got. The burger was recommended and I was reiststant as I wanted to sample their deli delights but I was so happy! It would have to be one of the best burgers of my life. Clearly, everything they do there is amazing.

the most beautiful little spot in fitzroy! full of whatever you may be feeling, there’s something for everyone. salads, breakfast, plenty of sweet and savoury options), treats, sandwiches, wraps…can’t go wrong. you’ll be spoilt for choice! been here on a few occasions, their amaretti are so delicious! salad bar is fantastic too (but a little pricy at $26, I find the value is better when ordering takeaway rather than eat in) and baguettes fantastic too. there really is so much here, a friendly, bustling environment and plenty to choose from. you’ll love it. thanks Alimentari!

Sadly unimpressed and disappointed today. I’m not sure what’s gone wrong here lately. Perhaps pandemic staffing and restrictions has produced issues. The staff were friendly and tried hard . However the menu is no longer the zenith of delicious creativity of the bygone days .

Our breakfast style meals were pretty poor and overpriced. For the second time now. Two ( well cooked) eggs dumped on two burnt edged, molar breaking pieces of brick style sourdough and that was it. Not even a sprig of parsley. With a not explained bottled juice? What?

Plating and taste inspiration this was not. Nigella would be furious with the current state of affairs .

Pretty slack on the Covid protocols as well . Nobody checked we’d checked in . Not at any stage. Just back from Sydney where a door person everywhere you go unfailingly sorts that out . This is a big problem...

Lovely little deli on Brunswick St. The salads and sandwiches are really delicious. We had the farro salad and the kale caesar salad. They give you a generous serving and the kale caesar is one of the best salads I've ever eaten, it's amazing! Also we had the Salami panini and the roast beef hi-top. Both were packed full of fillings and were so tasty! I especially enjoyed the caramelised onions on the roast beef sandwich. We also tried the fresh blood orange juice which was just what we needed as a refreshing beverage on the side. We were sitting on the bench by the window and it can feel a little cramped, but the space is nice and the staff are very friendly. It can get quite busy so service will sometimes feel a little slow, but overall a great place to sit in and eat or pick up a salad and...
