Bar Scopa is wonderful! Orders come out fast, so they’re great for either a quick takeaway or a small sit down in their cozy indoor section, or outdoors for when the sun is out. I’m vegetarian, so I was initially worried I might not have much to eat, but they had vegetarian options for almost each category (Báhn Mì, Bun, Spring Rolls). They also have alternate milk options if you’re vegan or lactose intolerant etc. The Food itself was super delicious! A good portion of tofu, veg, and not too much or too little of either. the chilli sauce they use is really yummy as well, so definitely don’t say no to that. Tofu was great, very well seasoned both inside and out, and both soft while still being slightly crispy and chewy. Coffee was decent, but could be a bit better, and the bread, I think, would be nicer if it was a bit softer, (but at this point, those are just little nitpicks) Overall, great food, great place, and not too pricey! 10/10 recommend!

I waited about 10 minutes for my Bahn mi and then proceeded to wait 23 more minutes for the coffee … overall I waited for 33 minutes. I reminded her a few minutes after getting the Bahn mi and she said oh yes I forgot and then continued to do everything but make it. I had already seen three girls walk away with their coffees and I thought … those don’t look right… they’re barely half full. I figured it was something else. But no - this is my iced coffee… 33 minutes later, apparently worth $6 without me having a single sip. Totally outrageous

Popped in to grab some lunch as we were in the area. Surprised it was a Vietnamese restaurant and arrived to see the lady take a freshly cooked roast pork from the oven. We ordered rice paper roll and the roast pork and bbq pork bread roll which were both tasty. Will try the Vietnamese coffee next time!

I got a crispy pork belly banh mi and iced chai latte with oat milk . the banh mi had no sauce, the whole thing was so dry, got tired of chewing it half way through. Lack of sauce also means there is little flavour. The portion size was also small, it was about 4/5 of the usual size from other shops. The staff also took quite sometime to make my chai latte and made it with normal milk when I asked for oat milk. I am lactose intolerant. I asked for a refund for the oat milk so the staff gave me 0.70 in coins but since I usually use card payments idk what I can buy with only 0.7 dollars. The ice was from the ice trays and I’m not sure whether the process of taking them out was hygienic or not. The drink was also some how not cold enough for an iced chai latte. I paid 17.70 dollars in total and it was definitely not worth the value. I don’t usually eat a lot but I still felt hungry and very unsatisfied afterwards finishing everything. This place is not good for value. For bigger proportion, better flavour and lower price, go to eat Ngon. For the best banh mi in Melbourne go to Bann mi shop in Brunswick. The chai latte also only filled 75% of the small...
