Very poor customer service and they also stole my money! My partner and I came to this cafe and the employee at the register was so rude and had zero customer service skills. As we were trying to order it seemed like she was in a rush and didnât want to give us time to order what we wanted. She was rolling her eyes, and as it was our first time there I wanted to ask about the food that we were ordering but she didnât even let us ask her anything. I wanted to order the milk tea and omelette parata but I was only able to order the milk tea. She never even let us confirm our order and she just walked away leaving us confused. She also seemed like she didnât understand English and lacked communication skills. The employee disappeared and when she came back i wanted to ask her about the egg parata and she just said yes to all my questions and quickly took my order and without confirming. I had to confirm with another employee whether the egg I ordered was with the parata and thatâs what I wanted and she said yes that my order was egg and parata. The employee at the register came and she gave me the milk tea with a container of egg. After explaining that I didnât order that she gave attitude and was acting like she is inconvenienced. I also told her I asked the other employee and confirmed with her that I ordered egg and parata. She rudely walked away again and didnât even apologise. I was charged 2 times already. Once for the milk tea and once for the container of egg. After that she came and she gave my order and she made me pay again and she said she will refund the other payment but she never did. Also, the order I received was just a plain parata and not what I wanted. I was absolutely disappointed and appalled at the customer service I experienced at this cafe. I believe you should be more welcoming and greet your customers and more importantly listen to your customers and answer their questions about the menu that you are serving.    Read moreChai Khana has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The food is absolutely amazing â very homely, comforting, and full of flavor. Every time I visit, I feel like Iâm being served with love. The staff are warm and kind, and overall the place feels like a blessing.
However, I do want to share one concern â the wait time. This was my 4th visit, and unfortunately, the wait was extremely long, i waited more than 1 hr, Again, Iâve noticed many reviews also mention the same issue, and while I understand that weekends get busy, the same response of âwe are always busy on weekendsâ is starting to feel like an excuse. As someone from a hospitality background, I fully understand the pressures of the kitchen, but when so many customers are saying the same thing, it clearly means something needs to be addressed.
If the management already knows weekends are consistently busy, I truly hope you can be more proactive in preparation and staffing. I say this not to complain but because I genuinely love this café and want to see it grow.
