Look, I just ordered food and I was sitting inside on the corner when the guy (I assume the owner) started telling to 2 teenager working there about he cannot answer the phone and look after the food at the same time. I held myself back pretty difficult as a family walked in. Look mate, I am a chef myself worked in from 1 hat restaurants to the lowest. If you want to teach them skills, manners and in between, use your freaking words! You cannot abuse people, especially I am very protective over young ones. You were lucky that a family walked in and I stepped out without saying a word. Use your words, you are an adult.. I will never shop from you, even thou the food is delicious... You better learn something from this review and move forward -hopefully- positively..
Edit: thanks for your reply but it doesn't matter if it's half way convo when you yell your staff in front of your customers. I am not shaming the business, I am expressing my opinion and sharing the first hand experience of mine as a person who was there and letting you know that I was bothered. So what are you saying is are you trying to justify yelling to your workers? I hope you are also aware that emotional or verbal bullying is still bullying, just sharing a general knowledge with you from employement law. I also did write here cuz I knew you would be defensive and as a woman I try to stay away from an adult who cannot take a constructive feedback face to face, hence I wrote here. Seeing young people's face and light going down once someone yells at them without explaining why, is brutally annoying for me, no excuse. I would expect thou, you would apologize to me seeing that as a customer, let alone trying to justify it as I am in the industry and know every corner of it....
Read moreThe food is pretty damn good here but don't go there to eat in because the owner is not a very hospitable man. He wont go out of his way to welcome you (only if the shop is empty) but if there are reservations one hr ahead of you wanting to eat there, he is very clear that he will be forced to kick you out if the reservers get there before you finish eating. Doesnt have to act that way but chooses to. We ordered a nice amount off the menu plus a reuben to take away and upon our departure he didnt even come to say thank you in appreciation. Not sure what he wants to achieve with such an attitude towards his patrons. We left with plenty of time before the reservers were due to arrive. Never again. The young staff were very sweet and obliging. Atleast someone was in...

Had our first visit to ChiChi’s in Bentleigh and it won’t be our last. From the moment we walked in, the service was spot on with a special mention to Doron, who went above and beyond. We picked a meal and he suggested something better suited to our preferences at a lower price—a rare and much appreciated gesture.
As for the food? Faultless. The falafels were crispy outside, soft inside, and full of flavor, the salads were fresh and vibrant and the hummus was next level—smooth, rich, and absolutely divine. The three of us dined here for the first time and by the end of the meal, we all agreed—ChiChi’s is now our number one choice for falafel and vegan options...
