I tried their new set menu, the $20 hot pot deal, (I think its lunch only, not sure) with a choice of spicy or non-spicy soup bases, smells amazing, the set comes with beef and lamb and pork rolls, one scallop, and 2 prawns, a selection of vegetables like corn, pumpkin, tofu, cabbages and black fungus slices, rice noodles, mushroom, plus free refills for plum juice, and all you can eat watermelon. The sauces and extra all you can eat menu are 6.8 dollars, you can't have hot pot without sauces so might as well buy this, the extra cost also comes with all you can eat fried chicken, fried calamari rings, braised pork trotters, melon(green) cubes, sweet soup (not sure what it is called, but it was very delicious, pure white and sugary, with dates, tiny glutinous rice balls, sweet fermented wine rice, must try, don't see this soup anywhere else in Melbourne), a variety of soft candies, and fruit flavoured popsicles, and a chinese brand salt popsicle, spicy peanuts, clear jellies and syrup, and a few other stuff I can't name, they also sometimes have all you can eat prawn crackers. 10% extra cost when I visited on Saturdays and Sundays. No parking sadly, because the parking lot was turned into yet another apartment nearby, in no fault of their own. Good services and atmosphere, aircon cooled, price is very attractive for the set menu, couldn't wait to recommand, because I think when I visited them a few years ago, this set menu would have costed me...
Read moreFresh Barramundi in chilli, Sichuan, pepper and cumin - The price of the fresh fish depends on the size. I requested the smallest size available for two person and the attendant came back to me , with the living fish trying to breathe in a net, for approval. Cost us $69 for the fish. It was not very spicy, just about right. Absolutely amazing. Little oily though. 4.5/5.
Mushroom and Sichuan pepper hot pot ( pic not available) - They first told us that we have to order two hotpots for two people because I was ordering only one mini hotpot. I had to explain to first the attendant and then her boss that we are getting a whole fish dish and then just one hot pot is enough for us. The boss asked the chef and then they agreed. I ordered vegetable platter and enoki mushroom for the hotpot, I received basket of mushrooms and enoki mushroom on side. If I knew that we will get just mushrooms for vegetable platter then I wouldn't have ordered enoki mushroom on side. We couldn't finish the mushrooms cause it was all to much. 3/5 for the hotpot.

Read moreWent there and was served mouldy mushrooms. As we had loaded all the meat and other things in the pot, we could not eat any of it. In addition to that we also ate some of the mushrooms before noticing that it was mouldy. At this point, we were less than 5 minutes into the meal. Instead of replacing everything in the pot, we were only offered half of the items that were in the pot as it was apparently “hard to account what was left in the pot uneaten”. If this was any other restaurant, they would have replaced all the items without a question and waived the bill completely, but instead we only got half of what we ordered and were expected to pay the full bill. Honestly one of the most disappointing experiences and poorest service recovery i have ever seen.
