Upon arrival the lady who served us was very friendly. She asked what type of cut we were after for our labradoodle and we gave photo inspo to ensure that we recieved our desired look for our pup. She took our requests on board and we waited for our dog to be groomed.
Later we arrived to pick up our pup to find out that he had received a service that we didn't ask for. The lady said that was had asked for a "summer cut" which we didn't ask for at all. We were confused as to why he got a summer cut when we asked for another trim at the time of the consultation. It was quite disappointing that he got another cut that we didn't ask for. The lady at the reception was gas lighting us and constantly said that we had "asked for a summer cut", even though we had initially asked for most of this fur to be trimmed and made neat. We did not even recognise our own dog after he had been groomed which was quite sad as a customer who has received better grooms from other business's. There was also confusion about which dog was ours which was extremely disappointing as the receptionist should have known whose dog was who's. We had spent heaps of time with the receptionist trying to make sure that we took home the right dog and not someone else's which should have never been an issue that arrised in the first place. I would definitely NOT recommend this place as the shop smelt gross, looked unhygienic and groomer did not give our dog what we asked for. We paid for the service and left quite upset, disappointed and in shock still that our pup did not look the same or feel the same as when he...
Read moreA tale in two parts. Went for dinner prior to a show at the Palais. Main courses were out reasonably quickly and food wasi very nice... really tasty and well presented. Had some time up our sleeve so a few of us decided to have a dessert... that's when the wheels fell off. Thirty five minutes and two follow ups later the wait staff informed us that of the four desserts on the menu, including one we had ordered, two were not actually available, and the ones that were delivered eventually (the Eton Mess) weren't really true to the dish description. Eventually swapped the missing dish for a shot of good whisky and headed off. Staff were helpful and apologetic, but damage was done.
Moral: Great (really) for a drink and a quick bite, but don't push your luck by going for a full meal, especially if you are on...
Read moreCalled in at Dogs Bar on a Tuesday night looking for somewhere for a quick bite before a show at the Palais. Wasn’t sure what to expect but we were blown away by the experience. The staff were all really helpful and made sure our food was quick. Food was all really generous and delicious. Crunchiest curly fries! Pulled pork po boy was messy (in a good way!) - juicy and tasty. They actually missed one meal but were really good about it and gave us some drinks on the house. When we realised we decided to wait a few extra minutes for our Cochon De Lait to be prepared and I’m glad we did because it was the most delicious corn bread I’ve ever tasted! Topped with juicy pork shoulder and crispy fried onions. Worth the wait! To top it off there was a great atmosphere with a musician playing some really...
