I finally got to try this place. Whilst i like to appreciate giving people a fair go, i think if the manager has to step in to correct staff in regards to basic customer service something is wrong with this picture! Two of the staff members were obviously backpackers or new to the country, one of them said ill keep the food here on the table as they couldnt take it back to the kitchen for reheating when they brought the food before the drinks. My friend said to them due to dietary requirements, and i even put on the booking form they are gluten intolerant, so they need to drink and wait 30 mins before receiving food. Then another staff member came out and said, "You gave the wrong dish out, and lucky my friend didn't eat it as they would have been very sick. Luckily, the manager intervened and said, "Let them keep the food. Calamity of errors continued when this same friend order her mains and dessert, and they came all at once whilst i didnt get my main until i had to ask for it. I only ordered a salad plus a bowl of chips, which they forgot to give a side of aioli sauce. We didn't receive our drinks until after the food was given, which was strange. On the table next to us, we had this douchebag i dont know whether it was a joke or whether he was actually harassing two women. Regardless, he made the women leave plus a couple who were going to dine in. Im stunned. The staff didnt kick them out. He wasnt funny and the chauvinistic behaviour was inexcusable However, the manager was friendly and even discounted my bill even though i didnt complain until now, so i feel conflicted about writing this. Overall, ill go back there but maybe not on a saturday evening.

First and probably only time we’ll waste our money here. Booked for 6.30pm as we were attending a concert at The Palais. After 45 minutes and having drunk nearly all of our bottle of wine while waiting I asked if there was a delay with the food as we had a concert next door. Pleasant but vague girl assured us it was on its way and it finally appeared. In the meantime we asked for another bottle of the same wine but was told they had run out but they did have an opened bottle with about an inch missing - would we like that? I am still trying to figure out if we were actually being offered a used bottle of wine or not... 😂. .. We politely declined... Food was very nice I must say and was worth the wait but we had to scoff it down pretty quickly because of the time. Wouldn’t particularly recommend the restaurant - it’s very tired and needs a spruce up. Toilets are way under par... Wait staff were pleasant but have no sense of urgency.

I very much enjoy the food here. My first experience was great and I was enthused enough to leave a 5 star review but I had to come back and change my review since we’ve gone back a few times and our experience hasn’t been as positive. We booked for a Saturday night dinner at 7 and the kitchen started closing half way through our meal which wouldn’t have effected anything (other than the fact our mains came out before our entree without warning) but they have a policy apparently that all tabs need to be closed before the kitchen does. Half way through eating we had a server come up and tell us we had to pay for everything then and there half way through our meal. Really poor form especially for like 8 o’clock on a Saturday night

Arrived here for a friends birthday following a bottomless brunch. Extremely unprofessional and flat out rude service from the middle aged man serving. Ordered nearly $600 worth of drinks and food before the majority of my friends went to use the toilet and sit on the couch’s inside the venue. 3 of us remained in the courtyard and were in the middle of a conversation when the man mentioned abruptly interrupted us, practically shoving the bill in our face telling us we need to settle it. The girls I was with said they felt intimidated by this man and I absolutely believe this was his intention. We tried to politely tell him our friends will be returning to settle the bill with us. He would not accept that answer and once again repeated that we need to settle it. I stated he will get his money, our friends are just inside and that he cannot expect 3 of us to split a nearly $600 bill. He then raised his voice at me stating “if I tell you you need to settle the bill, you settle the bill”. I told him to calm down and that we will get our friends, and that it was absolutely ridiculous he request our payment so abruptly and was insisting the 3 of us fix it up. He then backtracked and asked where our friends were before saying he never asked us to split it between the three. We understand they potentially wanted us to leave as we were getting quite rowdy, but this is not the way to go about it and certainly not the way to run a venue. I have plenty of experience in hospitality and will not be supporting this venue...

I’m giving this place a 1 star solely based on the rudeness and awful attitude from the manager Chris. He is one of the rudest people I have encountered and working in hospitality myself it’s safe to say he should not be near any customers with his attitude. I left my sunglasses (prada) there one night and he cut me off mid sentence said they did not have them (without even checking) I had called on Saturday morning after leaving there at 3am on the Thursday and he said that I should’ve called Friday because they throw out all lost and found after 24 hours???? I decided to pay the place a visit on my way to work because of his lack of help or willingness to assist and a lovely girl attempted to look but little did I know Chris walked up and asked her right in from of me what are you looking and screamed I already told her we won’t have them. He was so degrading and awful I never leave reviews but he was so bad I feel this is necessary. I did return to the venue and spoke to another manager jack who luckily enough was one of the sweetest so it’s not all the staff he was so helpful and showed me BUCKETS of lost and found. I thought they throw them out after 24 hours??? Clearly not that was a lie! But I want to mention how amazing and kind jack was and for him alone is the only reason me and my friends will not boycott here because he was super nice and helpful so thank you jack but I hope Chris gets demoted he has no business...
