In all honesty, compared to most other dumpling joints around in Melbourne, this place is a dump. Food selection isn’t great. Service is very scarce. Place looks okay from afar. But it is reasonably priced. However, its overall value comes from the fact that – it is what it is. It’s Chinese (Northern) eatery inside a shopping centre in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. They have pan fried dumplings and noodle soups that is not at a food court. They have ample dining space with plenty of room for prams and strollers. You can takeaway, or eat in. Neither option takes long. You’re there to get fed after walking 20kms with your wife only to purchase nothing of use. This now becomes a highlight of your afternoon. Well done, and please continue to exist.

After several visits, I was finally able to click picture of food I ordered. After a long walk in high point SC, me and my family enjoys dining here. The size of dumplings is very filling and taste is GOOD and in reasonable price. Other dishes are good in taste. I won’t say it is the best of best we can find in Melbourne but the portion and quality of food is nice and price is fine too. We found staffs professional but not too friendly such it’s hard to see any of there smiling faces. But no complains on hospitality and services. Food has alway been served quickly in-spite being busy and fully booked tables. Will go back again.

We used to frequent this place often before COVID. After returning here, I can honestly say we won’t be returning. We lined up for 20mins, as there was only 1 lady on the cash register and order station. This meant that families with children had to line up out the door and stand for up to 30mins because you are not allowed to get a table until you order and pay and get a table number. This makes it very inconvenient and inefficient way to process customers because it’s so time consuming. They need more people on the cash register. Secondly the food was so disappointing. I ve always had the sizzling seafood hot plate. This time is was tasteless and all the seafood was dry and rubbery, not fresh at all. Half our meals came out quickly like dumplings and seafood plate and the fried rice took so long to come out that half of our family had finished while the others were still waiting for their food to come out. Husband ordered Peking duck pancakes and even they were dry and filled with fat instead of meat. My seafood dish was filled with so much garlic and the onions were still raw. The dish was very off putting especially in the past the food was cooked to a high standard. The service was below average. Waiters don’t many eye contact. Literally dump the food on your table and vanish. Not sure if management has changed by damn, we won’t be going back. It’s really sad to see a good local business drop their food quality, service and management so dramatically.

Came here for a quick dinner as we were in the shopping centre. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. We tried the wontons in chilli oil, pan fried dumplings, sichuan diced chicken with dry chilli and peanuts and combination fried noodles. The wontons in chilli oil was quite good. The chilli oil was mixed with a sweet soy which went quite well. Pan fried dumplings were ok, generously sized however the skin was quite thick. The sichuan diced chicken was unique and not very traditional. Think tiny version of honey chicken without the honey sauce. Not much flavour to the bite size pieces unfortunately. Combination fried noodles were good. Everything was good value for the price.

I have requested for Tofu fried rice with vegetables because my kids loves it so I took as takeaway. When I reached home kids opened the food and there was not a single piece of tofu inside the rice, only vegetables and rice. After paying $17 I just got rice and few vegetables but I specially came for “Tofu fried rice’’. I could say Chef is not experienced or lake of customer service.when I went there to discuss they advised me to take a picture as a proof even if it’s in the rubbish bin. What a bad staff, they don’t trust their customer. So, even if you go there by mistake to get take away, please open the container and check it out.

One of the busiest eateries in Highpoint - this place is always packed during lunch time (and even right before closing). A great option for simple and tasty Chinese food in the shopping centre. Prices are pretty affordable and portions are huge. The pan fried pork dumplings were massive, wrapped in thick skin and filled with lots of juicy pork filling. Singapore noodles was yummy too, with plenty of seafood. If you spend over $30 you can get 10% off if you pay by cash. Takeaway bags cost 20c each.
