Would never recommend this place, don’t waste your time and money here. There are so many better places. This was the most random bottomless experience iv ever had. The online booking system makes no sense, the website says to call before making the booking online so I called then the lady on the phone was rude and asked if she could text me which i agreed, she then proceeded to take 2 hours roughly to text me back. She said she had space and then asked me to make the booking online which I did but just felt like a waste of effort as I just verified with someone over the phone? The day of the booking I received a text asking if we could come at 7.30 instead which at first we we couldn’t but then later on were able to and verified with the restaurant that we would be there at 7.30. We turn up and the place is completely empty, no music on, door shut with the closed sign up. There was one other group standing there. We then proceeded to stand there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come open the door, while also seeing 2 workers in the back kitchen area keep poking their heads out and looking at us. At about 7.40ish My friend ended up pushing the door open and finally someone came out and apologised because apparently they “couldn’t see us” “didn’t realise the sign said closed.” Which after entering the restaurant we realised we could see the sign from our seat (which was at the back near the kitchen). So felt like a cop out/ workers being lazy. Highly unprofessional. The restaurant was dark, smelt like it had been mopped with dirty water, freezing cold with no heating, was completely empty apart from us and the one other group so atmosphere was 0. It took roughly 5-10 mins before we received our first drinks which were not the best. We ordered some pizzas which come burnt around the edge, and the longer they sat the worst they tasted, leaving weird after tastes in our mouth. Our waitress who was nice enough, had no energy, kept going into the back area and staying out there meaning we couldn’t order more drinks/food. Then at 8.30 when we still had 30mins in our session, the cook comes out and sits at the bar with a pizza, drink and watching YouTube/ Netflix?? Basically meaning we couldn’t order anymore food. While it wasn’t the most awful experience, it wasn’t great. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone and am confused on how it has SO many good reviews??? We ended up leaving early as it felt like such a waste of time and money.

A 2 hours bottomless pizza, pasta and cocktail feast awaits for you @fatlulusstkilda for only 53$pp from Thursday to Saturday, 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Weekend is officially here and so is our need to chillax with good vibes and great friends, accompanied by mouth melting Italian feast and fruity and refreshing cocktails and @fatlulusstkilda at St Kilda is the best place to be. The flavors of their pizzas and pasta are authentic, truly amazing, and that you're definitely gonna remember long after you've left the restaurant. Yes the taste and the quality wise, it's is absolutely distinct and truly the best and most affordable ever. Made with perfection and presented elegantly, this place is certainly gonna make you fall in love with it. Even the classic pasta dishes have a uniqueness to it, that they have prepared it with their own twist to make the dishes incredibly tasty. The unique cocktails are fantastic and so refreshing and delicious at the same time. Moreover their service is superb with a cool decor that's gonna give you club vibes the moment you walk in. Also the team of staff are a bunch of such lovely, friendly and helpful folks, sure to make you feel welcome with so much warmth and cheer. What we had: Margherita pizza Tandoori Chicken Pizza Spaghetti Bolognese Linguine carbonara StKilda sunset cocktail Fruit tingle cocktail You can grab even more from their new bottomless menu for just 53$pp. So guys head to @fatlulusstkilda Instagram page and book a table from the link in their bio because honestly, you don't wanna miss this unbelievably pocket friendly yet absolutely delectable Italian feast with yummy cocktails with your friends or family

Fat lulus is a casual italian place - the type of eatery that caters to your Italian cravings on a regular weekday. Restaurant ambience is really nice for a casual place. While drinks is not their particular specialty, they offer fun girly cocktails and Italian beer. Go for the beer if you’ve had a long day and want to treat yourself. The menu showed a wide array of Italian delights, some of which are more fusion and eclectic than others. They actually have an everyf*thing pizza - which, as the name indicated, combines every possible pizza ingredient on a pizza. I especially enjoyed the tandoori chicken pizza - it wasn’t as spicy, but the combination of tandoori flavours and cheese actually works! The pizza dough is thicker and strongly resembled woodfire pizzas I have close to my place. I hope you came with a huge appetite, because their seafood pasta was massive! They are very generous with seafood servings too. Their version of seafood pasta is a tomato based one - I personally still prefer aglio olio style, but this works too! They make their tiramisu in-house and the version I had was wiped clean by my partner. I would recommend to get it with cream! Thanks for the invite ♥️ I’ll be looking to order for pick up / from the usual food apps the next time I crave for Italian!

Read the 5 star reviews VERY carefully, do not be fooled. When I saw the 500+ reviews, I thought okay fine they must be good. It’s an absolute scam. It seems like they have just made a bunch of accounts and spammed the 5 star reviews. That’s the only explanation for their high rating, because if I could put less stars, I would.

Please don’t waste your money here. We paid $70 for a bottomless dinner experience and what we got was an absolute joke.

The website booming system is weird, asking you to call before you book to “ensure availability”. Upon calling, my friend was told they would text her instead.

2 hours later, she was sent a text telling her to book online?

The day of our booking, my friend got a message asking us to come at 7.30 instead. We were running early so that was fine with us. When we got there, we realised why. We were only 1 of 2 groups that had booked at this place. It was DEAD.

We got there and 7.30 rolled around with no sign that the workers (who we could clearly see inside the kitchen looking at us and hiding) were going to come let us in. The sign was showing “closed”, no tables were set, no music was playing.

We eventually figured out the door was unlocked so I walked in at 7.40pm. The chef welcomed us in and I informed him the closed sign was displayed (which we could clearly read sat all the way across the room, so they knew).

The waitress was fine, service was slow. It took us 5-10 minutes to get our cocktails.

The cocktails were NOT cocktails. You know the $5 fruit juice you get from the supermarket? Slap a few shots of some diluted liquor into a glass of it, you won’t need to come to this place. None of them were good.

Food was mid. The pasta was somehow spicy? Good, authentic Italian food doesn’t have spice. The actual pasta was overcooked and falling apart on my fork. The pizza was just toppings on a kind of naan-type bread dough and was burnt on the bottom and around the edges. The longer you left the pizza to sit, the grosser it got. It’s hard to get pizza and pasta wrong, so that’s saying something.

The atmosphere was abysmal. Considering there were only 2 groups in the entire place, it was pretty depressing. Music was shit too. It was a concrete building with no heaters, so we were freezing cold.

We ended up leaving 15 minutes before our session ended because we were just so disappointed and ended up having more fun at another pubs latin party.

This place scammed us out of $70. Don’t fall...

This venue was chosen for our birthday celebration based on their instagram page and the stellar google reviews. However, looking back. It seems to us that ownership has changed and the spectacular reputation from about a year or two ago is no longer what is actually the case.

Firstly, the layout of the store is extremely bizarre with the kitchen being on full display to all the patrons. The toilet is then located at the end of a path through the kitchen and past the cleaning equipment. Very strange.

Our reservation was also pushed back 45 minutes, only being notified the night before. Not a big deal but it meant that we were almost kicked out before our session was over before having to explain to staff that our start was pushed back.

We were highly misinformed on what the customers would receive for the ~$70 fee. We were not able to choose our meal choices but also the cocktails were inconsistent with majority tasting of wine but also the colours varying between drinks of the same name. The drinks started with garnishes of strawberry and mint and ice early in the evening before the quality and effort deteriorated.

One of our party members was not drinking and was told that mocktails were an option. It took telling staff 4 times before one small mocktail that was ungarnished came out towards the end of the night.

One of our party members was vegetarian and specified this early on but never received their vegetarian pizza

The two staff that served us however did a pretty good job and were very polite. It seems to us that the problems with FatLuLu’s lie within the processes of the business, in which a few changes could be made to greatly improve the experience from a...
