Unique: Succulent Hainan Chicken that rolls off your throat paired with Fragrant Rice cooked in Fresh Chicken Stock. The roasted chicken rice is a must try special but don’t missed out on the white chicken. Why not have the best of both worlds with the mixed platter of both roast and white Hainan chicken?
Within 5 minutes stroll of Glen Waverley Train Station. This newly built restaurant is perfect for all occasions.
Health Benefits: Chicken breast is an excellent source of low-fat protein. Protein helps your body to maintain muscle mass and also helps you to build muscle if you are participating in a strength program. Chicken breast is also a very good source of selenium, phosphorus, vitamin B6, and niacin. [ Reference: Dr Google ]
Generous portion size. Good amount of Meat. Immaculately presented and colour balanced.
It's food to die for. Best Chicken Rice I have eaten in Melbourne. Should tell the boss to open a branch in Melbourne CBD. 100% profits and bring delights to much more people.
Guaranteed quick service by the immaculately presented, neat & smiling waitresses. Came quickly to me when I raised my hands for service.
Atmosphere: Well decorated & Clean. Temperature is Climate Controlled. Toilet is modern with designer theme and extremely clean. Great Music at the right volume. Lots of occupied seating space.
Crowd: Professionals, Locals, Tourists, Caucasian, Asian, Africans
Place is packed full of people eating and queuing thus the food must be good. The food turnover rate is high thus the food must be fresh.
If you don't like queuing, why not order takeaway from Uber Eats / EASI and enjoy in the comfort of your home to binge watch movies? The delivery will come in a flash.
I give it 5 / 5 Gold Stars.
I want to eat everything, well, except the staff :P . I will return to try different unique dishes like the Chendol desserts & drinks as they all look tasty.
🙂

Disclaimer: I don’t own any shares in the restaurant or get paid for writing this review. Then again, you just have to trust my words as you can’t read my thoughts.
I really did visit this restaurant as I have the photos paired with this review (though one could download photos from Google Images).
On the other hand, I would give less credibility to text only reviews (may not even have visited the place) which may serve as an outlet for pent up frustration for a tiny minority of other people. I used to do that in the past as I was impetuous.
Many things in life are only opinions - not facts.
On the other hand, in consideration of your mood then, different people at the place, your life experiences & a myriad of infinite no. of variables and their permutations that rapidly age / change every micro second to and fro between unlimited levels of ripple effects, certain aspects of this review will be different from your own experience due to other people’s biases and stereotypes.
You have to visit the place to determine if the review is accurate.
I highly recommend you to schedule into your reminder to bring your family, colleagues and friends there this week for a pleasant gastronomic experience.
🙂

The standard of Hainanese Chicken Rice is as good as ever. This restaurant is generous with its mince ginger spring onion, and minced chillie compared with their competitors. Review update on 4/8/2023
Some friends recommended that this is the place for Hainan Chicken rice, so my wife and three other friends come to give this place a try.
The restaurant is within Century Walk, surrounded by several empty shops, all were restaurants. It is quite a pleasant place for meal.
It is rin a winter Special, with an entree, main chicken rice, and a drink for less $20. It is rea.ly good value for money, and chicken bites, and roast chicken are crispy and tasty. The presentation is good but bot perfect. The inverted bowl of rice is not positioned in the middle of the plate.
The Hainan chicken and rice is a let down. The chicken is over poached and the rice lacks flavour. There are chillie sauce and Ginger Sauce in small bottle on each table. There is a lot improvement required to be labelled as sauces for Hainan chicken rice. So far I have not come across a restaurant that serves good flavoured Hainan chichen rice,
This is a much pleasant place than the smaller shop previously located in Kingsway.
The sign is noticeable from the street, and the interior is bright.
Once entered the restaurant is the cash counter and waiting area, and many people are waiting to collect the takeaway order.
Continue to walk in is the dining area, then the drink bar on the left. Towards the end is the display units showing the famous Hainan Chicken, poach and roast versions hung behine the glass unit.
I requested and was granted permission to take photos of the display items, and also the staff in action chopping chickens.
The poached chicken is better the roasted one. The portion size is reasonable, and the flavour chicken rice is fairly authentic.
The Sesame Chicken is tasty and its aroma is from the sesame oil. The dish comes with either noodle or plain rice.
The Yam and Braised Roast Pork is not extraordinary and good to eat with rice.
With an additional dish of Gai Lan, the comes to a total of $90.
My friends and I expect the Poached Chicken with rice and Roast Chicken with noodles should have come out before the other dishes, and yet we have to remind the waitress about the order.
Unfortunately, there is no explanation nor apology for the delay.
Unlike many restaurants, we can fill our small partitioned saucers with chopped ginger, and chillie garlic chicken sauce from the glass containers already placed...
Read moreHaving frequented this joint for many years now (on a weekly to biweekly basis) ever since they started from a small shop on kingsway and even during covid lockdowns, we headed there for lunch today with family who had come from interstate…our booking was made for 11.30 and confirmed ,by the person we spoke to over the phone …..we rocked up prior to that time and the restaurant was quiet two seated tables with food….we were greeted by one of the staff members and I gave him our booking details ,upon checking he returned and seated us to an allocated table……we than gave our orders shortly after as we already knew what we were having, the waitress who took our order came back some minutes later to ask us if we had made a booking for the table, shocked by the question we responded with a yes ….then she proceeded to tell us that this table was already booked for another group?!?! And asked us if we were able to leave by 12 (the time of their booking) baffled to say the least and the level of service given we were appalled when we asked her if she was implying that we needed to leave? She just replied by saying sorry this table is booked and we need it for 12! THIS IS SHOCKING SERVICE DELIVERY AND WE ARE FURIOUS AT THE LEVEL OF TRAINING THIS PARTICULAR STAFF MEMBER OF YOURS HAD! As customers who have been warmly greeted by the owners in the past this experience has been nothing short of disappointment and unfortunately we will not be coming back! There was no room made to accomodate us when clearly a mistake had been made on their end , there are plenty of other joints to frequent that have simple...
