Staff/customer service was APPALLING I would give it 0 stars if I could It was our first day in Melbourne and we came here to get desert. We ordered 2 crepes and a scoop of icecream. When we went to collect our order (which also took a ridiculous amount of time) but they forgot our icecream. When I told them this they got mad and told me to go away and it was only after they looked at the receipts did they give me the extra icecream I paid for. However, they tried to stuff it into the crepe even though I had specifically paid for the extra icecream to come separately. The old male worker (who I presume to be the owner) gave us so much attitude and got so mad. He repeatedly tried to shush us away and told me to leave. I explained that when I ordered I told the girl to give me the icecream separately (as it was for another person) and he told me to pay $6 which I already had. We went up after a few minutes just to ask for a cup so we could just put the icecream in there and this time the elderly woman (owners wife I’m guessing) was so rude and unprofessional. She said to stop wasting her time and to pay $1 if we want the cup that badly. If you read the check comments so many people mention their lack of respect or professionalism towards their customer. Honestly please do not support these people they did not even apologise or try to sort this out. They were also extremely unhygienic as the young girl worker touched the crepes with the same gloves she used to wipe tables/counter/touch money etc. The crepes were also not good. It tasted low quality, cold,...

The window display of crapes at the front is MISREADING customers.

The amount of cream was not in the edible crapes on the day. I would say 1/8 of cream and 1/3 of fruit served to customers.

The crape shop owned by the greedy Chinese, very old couples who proud to use Japanese Suburb name sounds like authentic Japanese crape shop. Nah😆 The owner's attitude towards customers can not be near to Japanese service at all.

I went to see how the crape was made prior to order. The young staff put one scoop of chocolate icecream then rolled the crape to serve without any other toppings. If customer requested without cream, (I don't know it was the case but), I would still give some chocolate coating before serve. I felt extremely stingy and so fake🤨

Then, the old lady owner said I need to line up the queue at the counter. I said I would like to see the making of crape. She told me to step off. The place I was standing was for the customer waiting area except there was nobody...😦 Another reviewer purchased crapes weren't allowed see either so go figure.

Obviously, the owner just didn't want anyone to see the making of crape on the round hot plate. A bit suspicious🤔🤔🤔❓️ Shall I tell the Melbourne council🧐

I couldn't see the hot plate after stepped out so I wouldn't know if I am buying fresh crape or dodgy crape, frozen or Pre-made crape🤷 I walked off as soon as stepped out.

I didn't spend my money for mystery crape so I may probably...

This is the second time we bought crepes from this place, 1st time we ordered plain lemon plain butter and brown sugar and was charged 2$ more for the cream, and that was years ago, that time we didn't ask why, although they should've said that cream is 2$ extra. Today i was contemplating on getting a crepe out of hunger, i ordered the cookie butter which is 11$ as per the menu on the counter, i tapped on my card and went back to wait. I looked at my transaction details on the card and surprised to be charged 14$. Waited for a long time and when i got my order i asked her why she charged me 14$ and she said because of the cream. Again, i never realised they charge extra for the cream. So i said i didn't ask for the cream she should've said it's an extra 2$. So she took the crepe from me, slammed it on the side, picked it up again and took the cream out of the crepe and almost smashed the crepe to me. So i did asked her for the refund and she gave it back to me with sarcasm, mind you she only gave me 2$ back but she charged me 14$, i didn't argue about the 1$. I would've just thrown the crepe away coz of the way she handled it, but i feel bad wasting food. Hopefully i won't get food poisoning out of this. Never again will i buy from this shop. The older Asian Lady who served us (she was the same one as the last time years ago) was so rude and nasty. Also Saw how dirty the workplace is, must be inspected by worksafe Victoria....

Daniyeru's Detailed Review: Start of Service 5/5 *Main elderly staff / owners are always friendly and welcoming ever since being a first customer since 10 years ago! Food 5/5 *Facourite is the Ham, mushroom cheese crepe with mayo! 10 years ago, today, still the same delicious quality and taste. Talk about consistency! Even the owners are the same! * * * Value 5/5 *At approximately $10 for a freshly made crepe, you cannot beat this, they use quality ingredients, real Japanese mayo. Simply cannot be beaten and there is no similar competition around the area. Atmosphere 5/5 *Japanese Harajuku Themed Crepe Shop, although it looks the same as 10 years ago, it does and also doesn't need a refurbishment to keep up with today's standards, but why go through all that when everything is going good? End of Service 5/5 *Always great, always professional, however they change 70c for a takeaway box which is pretty steep. Only finer Chinese restaurants do this, and it's still not 70c so this probdbly needs to get looked at or just provide a less expensive option.

By far one of my favourite little crape shops in Melbourne. They have such tasty crapes and in all kinds of flavours too which I really love. I will say if you go here try everything because I’ve not had a crape I don’t like here. My go to is mango all and it has mango, custard, cream and ice cream which is perfect because I love tropical fruit but you can mix and match any fruit and it will be just as good. If you’re in the area don’t miss out on grabbing one. The service is wonderful, lots of great staff who are super friendly and kind. Not to mention you can sit in on some of their little chairs and tables or grab and go very easily. I know it gets busy if a night time especially on the weekends but they still work hard to accommodate everyone’s orders as quickly as possible. Anyway check them out as soon as possible and enjoy!
