Herbe Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Looking at the other reviews, I feel we might have got them on a bad day. I was really excited as the food is halal (and we traveled from quite far) however the breakfast burger was very small and incredibly dry. I had requested gluten free and agreed to replacement with gluten free bread slices but they were small and beef patty not flavorful. The coffee was nice enough. The chilli scramble was also a bit dry, having two bread slices ontop of each other, and condiments should have really been included. Service could have been more prompt especially given there were no other customers waiting for food - there was a delay between dishes being served.

This place could be great - use fattier mince for juicyness and flavor, don't overcook, include condiments, add more sauce to burgers, serve dishes at the same time and state on the menu which items are gf, gfo, veg, or vegan.

Herbe café is my daily go to. Naz and Ahmed (the owners)are always so welcoming and attentive to their customers. Their coffee (AU79) is consistently spot on. The quality and presentation of the food is superb. They fire up the grill at 11:30 each day (I usually can’t wait) My favourite meal is the Chicken/Slaw sandwich (refer to photos). I choose to have it as an open sandwich. Their signature dishes are the chicken/salmon/lamb or vegetarian bowls served with salad and rice/ choice of vinaigrettes. Delicious herbs and spices, and house made vinaigrettes compliment their dishes. Importantly, the cleanliness and presentation are certainly well noted. It’s a pleasure to go to...

My mate and I went here to other day after contemplating where to get breakfast, Herbe did not disappoint at all Prices are perfect, the menu is just what you need, portions are great and the taste is even better.

I didn’t catch the name of the guy working but he was so nice and welcoming, made a great iced coffee and even offered some of their salsa to try on the big breakfast, it was killer also probably some of the tastiest bacon i’ve ever had.
